I really enjoyed turning an old plastic box into this cute box to keep our travel finds, and memorable things. I used left over paint from my Mod Podge Sheer Colour marbled vase project to get this brown colour for the lid of the box. Adding this sheer colour over the atlas gave the atlas a nice brown colour effect, as well as helped seal the atlas paper and gave it a durable coating.

Keeping Our Body Warm with a Baselayer and Hydrated with Platypus
This Platypus Soft Bottle is perfect to take with us anywhere we go to keep us hydrated. This awesome Platypus Soft Bottle has a dual-valve Hyperflow cap that allows us to easily bite to drink, and control the flow of the water. I like that we don't have to bite the valve hard, and even if anyone bites the bottle it does not get bite marks even when it is bitten on. If we do bite it hard, it could cut off the flow of the water. The travel valve shuts down when we twist it, so the water does not leak when the bottle is under pressure.

Pointe-à-Callière Montreal Museum of Archaeology and History
There are so many places to see within downtown Montreal, and I am glad we went to check out the Pointe-à-Callière Montreal Museum of Archaeology and History that had the temporary exhibit of the epic journey of Marco Polo, as well as many fun permanent exhibits. It was fun for us to learn and see how the archaeologist go deep underground.

Drive-In Movie Theatres
I have never watched a movie in a drive-in movie theatre, but have seen many movies where people go to drive-in theatres, which looks like a fun experience I would want to try. In the 1950s, Canada has had over 250 drive-in theatres and they were the hottest ticket in town. In recent years, more than 4,000 drive-ins have gone dark across North America. It’s not too late share the joy of the drive-in movies with your family and friends at one Canada’s 50 remaining outdoor screens. Grab a blanket and catch a movie under the stars before summer ends or, add a stop on your fall road trip.

Exploring and Enjoying Downtown Montreal
This summer my family and I enjoyed exploring Montreal, Quebec. Our drive to Montreal was about 5 hours from Toronto with a few stopovers at ONroute locations. We stayed over at the largest hotel in the province of Quebec, Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth in Montreal. The Canadian National Railway built this downtown hotel in the 1950s.

Summer Fun at the CNE
From August 15th to September 1st there are lots to do for the whole family at the 136th annual Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto, Ontario. It is a wonderful place to hear music, smell the aroma of funnel cakes and cotton candy, and be part of many shows, rides and exhibits. Last year we learned a lot about farming at the CNE. There will be lots of new shows and attractions at the CNE this year, as well as returning popular attractions such as the CNE Zip Line, Sky Ride, SuperDogs, The Flying Wallendas, the 65th Annual Canadian International Air Show and more.
Being Treated Like Royalty at the Medieval Times
We felt like royalty at the Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament. It was much more fun and exciting than I anticipated. It is a one-of-a-kind experience. From the time we entered, all the guests were referred to as lords, ladies, young knights, and princesses. It was as though we went back in time to the Middle Age of honour, valour, and chivalry, which was fun for everyone in the family.

Win Tickets to The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum
The Canadian Warplane Heritage museum is a working airplane hangar with many interactive displays where we can touch, sit in, and learn about warplanes. We really enjoyed the flight simulators that allows children and adults to experience what it would feel like to be in a plane.

Where We Took "Jane" When She Visited Us For a Week
Happy Canada Day everyone!
Jane Bull, DK’s Craft Guru who resides in the UK wanted to do a special author tour of Canada. Instead of coming in person she sent the doll she made of herself from the Crafty Dolls cover. My family and I had the pleasure of hosting "Jane" for a week and taking her around town. We took Jane to a few landmarks in Ontario like Canada's Wonderland, Niagara Falls, to parks and more, to show her the beauty of our land. Jane will be heading over to other destinations in Canada before leaving to UK.

Jerusalem IMAX and The Science of Rock ‘N’ Roll at The Ontario Science Centre
Jerusalem the 43-minute large format film narrated by Benedict Cumberbatch and presented by National Geographic Entertainment is a stunning and thought provoking presentation of one of the world’s iconic cities. Jerusalem is sacred to half the people on earth; fought over more than
any other place in history; conquered and destroyed, rebuilt and reinvented repeatedly over 5,000
years. This film helps us discover why this tiny piece of land is sacred to three major religions through the stories of Jewish, Christian and Muslim families who call Jerusalem home.
