Explore National Parks Snowshoeing With Children

msr tyker kids snowshoes
Exploring winter scenery is lots of fun when it is done in snowshoes. Since snowshoes provide flotation, we can walk on top of snow easily and not sink. I think having proper snowshoes for children makes it a fun experience for them, so everyone in the family can go on fun excursions. My children have been using the MSR Tyker and Shift Youth snowshoes, which are especially designed for children because of its lightweight, durable, and safety features.

Helly Hansen Women's Jackets for Cooler Weather

As the weather gets cooler, I like to wear layers. Depending on where I go the temperature is different, since some places have heaters turned on high, and the other places are much cooler. Due to this reason, I love wearing this lightweight, compact Helly Hansen Verglas Down Insulator. I love that it is compact because it can be folded and fits easily into a bag, which makes it perfect for winter travels.

Carefree Camping at the KOA Deluxe Cabin

We loved our two-night weekend stay at the Toronto West KOA in Campbellville, Ontario. There are more than 485 Kampgrounds of America (KOA) locations in the U.S.A. and Canada since founder Dave Drum constructed a campground on the banks of Yellowstone River in Billings, Montana in 1962. The campgrounds are conveniently located close to the highways and byways so we can stay overnight and relax during road trips without detouring before proceeding with long journeys.

Keeping Our Body Warm with a Baselayer and Hydrated with Platypus

This Platypus Soft Bottle is perfect to take with us anywhere we go to keep us hydrated. This awesome Platypus Soft Bottle has a dual-valve Hyperflow cap that allows us to easily bite to drink, and control the flow of the water. I like that we don't have to bite the valve hard, and even if anyone bites the bottle it does not get bite marks even when it is bitten on. If we do bite it hard, it could cut off the flow of the water. The travel valve shuts down when we twist it, so the water does not leak when the bottle is under pressure.

Cheering For Team Canada as they go to 2014 Winter Olympics

We are proud to be Canadian, since there is no place like home. There are lots of reasons for our love and pride, which we show by being kind to those around us, travelling to see the different and unique parts of Canada. We support events that appeal to us in our local community as well as all over Canada by participating and being part of. Being long time lovers of the Olympics, we are excited about the upcoming 2014 Winter Olympics and looking forward to gather family and friends to cozy up and cheer Team Canada.

Going On Adventures With Our Binoculars

It is fun for the whole family to take a good pair of binoculars when we go on our adventures, even if it is to watch birds in our backyard.

Summer Adventure At Horseshoe Resort

Horseshoe Resort isn't only fun in the winter, but also in the summer. We spent a fun filled day at Horseshoe Resort Adventure Park by rolling down the hill inside their water filled OGO, climbing rocks, golfing, running through the maze and more. It is a fabulous place to do family friendly activities that promote learning and discovery.

Our Childhood Summer Camp Experience and The Awaiting Fun At Muskoka Woods

When I was growing up, I always look forward to spending my summer at summer camp. While in high school, I spent my summers as a camp counsellor making some cash while having lots of fun and seeing many attractions in Ontario. My memories of camp are mostly stored in my memory drive, as none of us at that time had digital cameras or camera-phones to capture all the wonderful memories. I remember as a camp counsellor we had lots of fun carrying out our approved planned activities such as sports, crafts, cooking, and trips. I learned a lot going to camp, as it helped me grow my confidence and allowed me to take on new challenges. Here are some of the little things I saved over the years in my treasure/ shoebox :)
