My children and I checked out a few children's books that are educational and fun to read. Ru-lan is a fun and exciting series of books about a special young prince born in the kingdom of Lǒu. The descriptions and details in the story makes these picture books fun for both children and adults to read independently or as a group. We enjoyed how the author, Larry Bennett brings together the human world and the animal kingdom together in the stories.

What We Are Enjoying on Netflix

Last year, my family and I attended a Netflix screening party for King Julien and loved watching every episode of the Netflix series All Hail King Julien season one. We are super excited that the second season is now available on Netflix. We have already watched a few of the episodes and love each one. It is hilarious for adults and children! I think it is the perfect show to cozy up and watch during these cool fall nights.

Detailed Papercut Lantern

I was inspired by the Paper Craft DK book to do this detailed papercut lantern project. This book has 50 fun and exciting projects that involves card making, gift wrapping, scrapbooking, and beautiful paper flowers. I love that the book includes templates that we can use to recreate the projects. I used the template for lanterns from this book, and scanned it on my Brother ScanNCut machine, which cut this intricate lantern design for me within minutes.

We Day Inspires Us to Spark a Positive Change

I have been attending We Day for the past four years, and every year I feel We Day inspires me to do more to help others. My daughter has been accompanying me for the past few years. She loves the shows and the inspiring speeches at We Day, and was excited for weeks before we went and also after the event. I love seeing the passion and excitement of We Day where everyone like-minded gathers to show that we can all spark a change and make a difference everyday to better someone else's life. Thinking of WE is so much satisfying than thinking of ME. We love how We Day empowers people to make a difference, and think about others.
