Hot Wheels FUNdamentals Learning Project

Keeping our children interested in learning over the summer holidays isn't always easy if we push books in their face, so I try to incorporate learning in different ways. It is important as parents we create opportunities for our children to advance their knowledge and skills, so they can retain what they’ve learned over the school year. This year, I am excited to be part of the Hot Wheels FUNdamentals Learning Project.

Children would love playing with Octonauts Underwater Sea Heroes

My children enjoy watching the Octonauts show, which follows the daily adventures of a team of eight underwater heroes; Tunip, Inkling, Tweak, Peso, Barnacles, Kwazii, Shellington and Dashi. These heroes explore the world’s oceans, and rescue creatures while protecting their habitats.
When my children saw the Octonauts toys from Fisher Price, they were so excited as it resembles the characters and vehicles from the show. When watching this show my children learn about marine life and find it fun to watch the  adventures of the Octonauts heroes.

Hasbro Nerf super soakers

I am glad the weather is getting warmer and we are spending a lot more time outdoors.  Water play is always a fun activity for children and adults especially during warm weather.  These Nerf super soakers from Hasbro are adventurous and fun for everyone.

The Hasbro Nerf super soakers look sleek and have a strong design.  I like the choice of colours they have used for the soakers.  These soakers are meant for anyone over the age of 6 years so use your own discretion if you want young children to play with it.  Use only tap water and don't aim at eyes or face to avoid injury.  Don't submerge the soakers into the water.

Tornado strike water clip holds 300ml water and aims 6 m. Our favourite part of this soaker is that when we shoot the water it spins through its special spinning barrel.  This tornado strike doesn't require batteries because we have to pump to blast water.  The detachable stock can be adjusted depending on the persons reach.  It has a tactical rail that is compatible with other super soakers.  I wish the water clips hold more than 300ml of water.  However, we can buy more water clips separately to quickly reload so we can have fun without stopping to refill the water :) The water clips attach to our belts so it is convenient during playtime.
Electrostorm blaster super soaker aims up to 7.5 meters. This motorized full auto soaker doesn't require pumping, just pull the trigger and start soaking.  This small soaker holds 76 ml of water so we had to practice aiming at the target correctly when needed so we aren't wasting time filling it up and missing the action.  It needs a little practice and patience to aim and wait for the correct time/ opportunity to start soaking the target :) The only downside is that it needs 4 batteries and a philips cross head screwdriver, which is not included in the package.

Lightning storm blaster holds 1L of water and aims a distance of 7.6 meters.  This powerful soaker requires 4 batteries.  This motorized super soaker is fully automatic no pumping required just pull the trigger to soak.  The water clips from the tornado strike can be put in place of the drum.  It has a detachable stock that enhances accuracy when blasting.  The blast shield is a lovely feature that blocks incoming water from other shooters.  It also has a tactical rail. The soaker comes with instructions.

There are many other soakers such as hydro cannon, scatter blast, point break and microbursts. The super soakers are available at superstores, Toys R Us, Zellers and Walmart. The weather is getting warmer so get yourself one of these Hasbro Nerf soakers and start having fun with friends and family outdoors.

Playtime has become fun with the Toydozer

Do you remember the time when you have stepped on little toys in the middle of the night, got hurt and became really angry?  Was there some point of time when you felt like throwing all the little toys that you got for the children because cleaning up was such a hectic job?
All this will change with this innovative tool that mompreneur Amy Bradley has invented.

Every parent and child will love the Toydozer.  This cleanup bulldozer will be very useful for everyone with children, including classrooms, daycares and play spaces.

Every time I say to my children, "Its time to clean up" all I hear back is "I didn't make the mess" although they were both playing with the toys.
After we got the Toydozer both of them want to clean up, so I am really happy :)

The design of the Toydozer is well thought-out.  The velcro tabs keep the gatherer and scoop together.  It is easy to store and hang when it is not in use.  There is no need to pick up each toy, cleaning will be fast.
This product will teach children responsibility to clean up after themselves at a young age.  It is made out of strong plastic, but it is light in weight so children can easily use it.  It comes in three vibrant colours blue, yellow and purple.  The Toydozer is very helpful picking up small toys such as blocks, train pieces, puzzles, cars, the little ponies, squinkies and all the other toys.

This Toydozer has made a dramatic change in my home, I don't need to crawl all over the floor to pick up toys and the children have become really helpful cleaning up.

It is sold online.  To get a 20% discount on your purchase use this coupon code: BLOGGER20.  Shipping is free within USA and Canada.
