As parents it is important that we teach our children the know-how to handle the growing issue of cyberbullying. According to Canadian not-for-profit organization and official TELUS WISE partner MediaSmarts, cyberbullying is on the rise, with one in ten Canadian students experiencing it last year. Its studies show that cyberbullying can have traumatic effects on youth, with links to depression, yet kids underestimate how much it can impact them, shrugging it off as a normal part of their online interactions.

School nights can become hectic sometimes, with running to after-school activities and getting homework and projects done. I like to make sure we have the ingredients available for our favourite, healthy, quick meals during the school year handy, as the nights arrive faster each day and we all get tired pretty quick. Our dinner menu usually consists of flavourful pastas, noodle dishes, hearty soups, salads, or loaded sandwiches.

Our Journey to the Alaskan Wilderness with Disneynature's Bears

Disneynature's Bears Blu-ray Combo Pack, which released on August 12th takes the whole family on an epic journey to the Alaskan wilderness. We enjoyed watching this heartwarming, spectacular film that showcases a year in the life of a bear family, as two young cubs are taught life's most important lessons. My family and I enjoy watching Disneynature movies, as they give insight into the life of wild animals and allow us to see the world in a different perspective.

Hyundai Hockey Helpers Benefit Under Resourced Canadian Youth

Hyundai Hockey Helpers launched in 2012 is Hyundai’s program that helps under-resourced Canadian youth to play hockey. The program partners with a nonprofit organization, KidSport, to select and distribute the grants to help with registration fees and equipment costs for children from under-resourced families get in the game. Hyundai covers all administration costs for the program, so every additional dollar raised goes directly to kids.
