The Entomica Insectarium in Sault Ste. Marie

Entomica Insectarium in Sault Ste. Marie
I am glad my family and I visited the Entomica insectarium in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. The visit helped us see how insects are important for vegetation, wildlife, and the eco-system. Getting to take an up-close look at the different insects during the tour by an expert in the insectarium really helped us see how each insect is unique. We enjoyed touching, holding, and observing the different insects from around the world. I felt this visit has helped us to become more empathetic towards insects.

Canal Historic Site in Sault Ste. Marie
During our recent road trip to Sault Ste. Marie, my family and I enjoyed visiting the Sault Ste. Marie Canal National Historic Site. We can learn about how canals and locks operate at this site either by discovering at our leisure or joining a guided tour. By taking the guided tour and exploring the visitor's centre we learned a lot about the lock system and canals.

Becel Now Made with Simpler Ingredients

salmon wasabi appetizer
Although, my family and I continue to look for simplicity in the food we consume daily, it is quite difficult to know about all the different ingredients that go into basic kitchen supplies like margarine. Mainly because of this reason, a few years ago I completely stopped using margarine and used butter instead as it is easier to tell what goes into butter. Recently, I got a chance to attend the launch of Becel made with simpler ingredients and learn how margarine is made, as well as ask questions that have changed my perspective about margarine.

Nominate a Canadian That Makes a Difference Through Food and Win

homemade bread
I believe food plays a powerful role in building and keeping communities together. We see this both in times of celebration, as well as in times of hardship. On a regular basis, many of us help our own and other communities by either donating to food banks, charities, or simply cooking or baking and sharing with others.

Cool Things You Can Buy and Sell on UsedEverywhere.com

I have items from my childhood that I am not sure I am ready to part with. I have saved them because they carry sentiments, however sometimes it is hard to save everything I want because I do not like clutter! I remember the days when there were garage sales in the neighbourhood, and nowadays with the fast paced digital driven world we seldom see this.
