I like the different magazines published by Cricket Media for children because they use lots of colourful images, cartoons, contests that encourage children to be engaged critical thinkers. The information in these magazines brings up questions in our children's mind, and it helps develop their natural curiosity to find out things we take for granted.

Washi Tape Birthday Card

This card was fun and easy to make. All I did was draw on card paper with a pencil, then traced the drawing with a black ink pen.

The books Grow Vegetables in Pots and Grow All You Can Eat in 3 Square Feet are inspiring the decisions we are making this year for our garden. We love gardening, and over the years have learned many things about how to care for a variety of plants, and to landscape. We are expanding our garden space to accommodate more vegetables and trees this year.

Making Stickers with Washi Tape

We made our own stickers using Washi Tape. It is simple to make these stickers, and cut out any shape you wish and paste it. We tried a few simple shapes using scissors, if you have a puncher or design cutters you can try using that as well.

I am excited the weather has become warmer. I enjoy going on walks when the weather is warm. Although, it is sunny, but slightly windy I enjoy wearing my Helly Hansen training kit for walks. I love this black active training pants because it is relaxed fitting. This comfortable, lightweight pant has an elastic waistband with an adjustable cord, and side pockets. These pants have become my favourite because they are perfect for walks and casual summer outings.

Books For Children

Having fun, educational, colourful books in our home library is important to me because these encourage my children to explore topics and find their interests. My children enjoyed these books that open up lots of conversations, and teach them lessons, as well as general knowledge information such as about our environment. The colourful illustrations encourage children to be engaged and read it many times. I like that it awakens their natural curiosity to explore, and learn.

DIY Ceiling Project with Fasade

We loved using Fasade ceiling tiles to personalize our space. This is a stylish, and a practical solution for our ceilings, walls, and back splash in any room of our home. We used the Fasade 2X2 glue up ceiling tile in the Cyclone pattern to transform our dining room ceiling. It was easy to glue the tiles up on the ceiling, which immediately brightened the space. The project only took a few hours. The beautiful interconnected swirls are punctured into a dynamic pattern, and this white series of tile designs are paintable. We left the original white it came in, to give the space a crisp and clean feel.
