DIY Embroidery Top Wooden Stool

We wanted to a customize and make our own DIY wooden stool with a soft cushion top that can be used as an extra seating, a table, or a footstool. The colours we used are inspired by our love for Moroccan and Bohemian designs and colours. We feel this gives the punch of colour we want to make the interior of our home feel brighter even during the long winter seasons!

Embroidered Crazy Patchwork

I have been working on a crazy patchwork surface to use it as the cover for a DIY stool we are working on. For this patchwork surface, I used the Crazy Patchwork method that uses random shapes of cloth attached together. Crazy patchwork is a lot of fun to do, as we do not have to cut each material using a pattern or measurement. 

Painting on Glass with Americana Gloss Enamels

I thoroughly enjoyed doing this wall display on an old glass picture frame. Prior to starting the project, I cleaned the glass with rubbing alcohol. Once the surface air dried, I drew a Mandala themed design using a black DecoArt Glass paint marker. 

Thrilling Time Tubing at Chicopee Tube Park

We had a thrilling time tubing for a couple of hours at the Chicopee Tube Park. This fun winter activity will be enjoyed by riders of all ages.

We like the DK's How Things Work series, as it explores and explains a wide range of complex subjects clearly and simply using a combination of bold, eye-catching graphics and simple, easy-to-understand text. We like how everything is explained in details, to make us understand the topics better. There are lots of cool facts on each of the topics.

The Little Book of Learning Fun Hobbies

We enjoyed discovering the "Little Books" that pack a big punch from Walter Foster Publishing. In this new series, artists and hobbyists are able to learn a variety of interesting art topics, including manga, hand-lettering, and sketching, in a small and portable format. The books are filled with practice pages, creative exercises, and fun prompts, wonderful for anyone looking to learn the fundamentals in an entertaining way.

I believe that every one of us is unique in every way, and with opportunities we can all strive to do our best and feel proud of ourselves.
