I encourage my children to forge their own paths. I think it is important for me as a parent to have an open mind and give lots of exposure to life experiences. I think it is also important for me to teach my children my values and beliefs, so they are aware of it when they make their own choices.

We loved watching Big Hero 6 in the theatre, and we are super excited that this Walt Disney Animation Studios, “Big Hero 6” will be on Blu-ray and DVD February 24th. Disney's “Big Hero 6” introduces us to Baymax, a lovable robot who will change the world. Baymax (voice of Scott Adsit) and Hiro Hamada (voice of Ryan Potter) will make our heart soar as they learn about teamwork and becoming more than you thought you could be in this in a comic adventure, which is fun for the whole family.

Using Rev-A-Shelf In Our Kitchen

We started our #KitchenReno during the holidays, and so far the tiles are placed, the vent is fixed, the cupboards are transformed. We are working on painting, replacing the countertops and the faucet. Since things can be put away with all the major jobs done, I can organize the cupboards. I used Rev-A-Shelf cut-to-size insert wooden organizers to keep my cutlery, knife and utensils organized. These products are available in Home Hardware stores such as Lowes. 

DKfindout: Wonderful Learning Tool and Giveaway

My children and I enjoyed exploring and learning from the new online learning resource for kids, parents, teachers and educators called DKfindout. We will be using this site regularly to learn from, as I like how interactive, and engaging it is. It caters to visual learners of all ages, and is a good way for children to explore and learn facts about everyday life, animals, math, space, and more.

Many of us know and have heard of the importance of having a healthy breakfast, and how this affects our overall well-being. Toonies for Tummies is a campaign that every Canadian must know about and help out. Grocery Foundation Voucher program, Toonies for Tummies is an in-store fundraising effort organized by the not-for-profit organization Grocery Foundation on behalf of food, beverage and consumer goods manufacturers, distributors and retailers to raise funds to support school nutrition programs administered by registered charities.
