Join Strawberry Shortcake and some of her new furry friends in these delightful “tails” about being yourself and encouraging others to do the same. Strawberry Shortcake: Berry Best in Show comes on DVD May 12th. Huckleberry Pie and his four-legged crew get stranded in Berry Bitty City during their road trip to find homes for the orphan puppies. Luckily, Strawberry and her berry best pals decide to help out. Blueberry Muffin and Huck become "Partners in Crime when they try to write a mystery story together… with surprising results. And the fur is sure to fly when the girls try to help Huck start a dog shelter in "The Mystery of the Disappearing Dog Show."

New Ariel Park at Santa's Village in Muskoka

We had the pleasure of visiting Santa's Village a couple of years ago, and again this summer. This famous and popular tourist destination in Bracebridge is nestled in Muskoka’s Enchanted Forest, halfway between the North Pole and the equator on the 45th parallel, which naturally makes it Santa’s one and only Canadian summer home. The Village celebrated its 60th year this season. There are two theme parks, an aerial park, a day camp, animals, and a family campground, where kids of all ages can visit Santa, enjoy rides, games, and countless other family-friendly activities.

Celebrate Star Wars May the 4th

We are huge fans of Star Wars. My son is super excited that Star Wars: The Force Awakens, lands in theatres around the world on December 18th, close to his birthday. In celebration of May 4th, the unofficial Star Wars holiday, I would like to showcase the DK Star Wars Boutique that has cool Star Wars titles. We have checked out many of the books in this boutique and really enjoyed reading them, as well as looking at the pictures and drawing.

An Easy Way to Contribute To Your Child’s RESP at Tax Time

I hope all of you have started your taxes for 2014! :) Since the time is approaching to finish filing tax returns, I wanted to mention how easily we can save for our children's future by contributing towards a Registered Education Savings Plan (or RESP) via our tax returns. As a parent, I think it helps if we think about our children's education starting from a young age, instead of waiting for the days when it gets closer for them to go to university or college. This savings will minimize future stresses, and help us be in a position where we can help our children with their schooling.

Children's Magazines

I like the different magazines published by Cricket Media for children because they use lots of colourful images, cartoons, contests that encourage children to be engaged critical thinkers. The information in these magazines brings up questions in our children's mind, and it helps develop their natural curiosity to find out things we take for granted.

Washi Tape Birthday Card

This card was fun and easy to make. All I did was draw on card paper with a pencil, then traced the drawing with a black ink pen.

Inspiring Books for Gardening and Learning to Hairstyle

The books Grow Vegetables in Pots and Grow All You Can Eat in 3 Square Feet are inspiring the decisions we are making this year for our garden. We love gardening, and over the years have learned many things about how to care for a variety of plants, and to landscape. We are expanding our garden space to accommodate more vegetables and trees this year.

Making Stickers with Washi Tape

We made our own stickers using Washi Tape. It is simple to make these stickers, and cut out any shape you wish and paste it. We tried a few simple shapes using scissors, if you have a puncher or design cutters you can try using that as well.
