Flavourful Stew made in the Breville Risotto Plus

I made this hearty, flavourful stew in the Breville Risotto Plus cooker. I found it awesome that I can sauté, steam, make rice and risotto, as well as use it as a slow cook all in the same bowl with this Risotto Plus. I really like how the food caramelizes and cooks in the sauté mode, which I can then switch to either rice, steam, or risotto, or slow cook either in high or low setting all using the same bowl without additional work.

Strawberry Banana Milk Bars

With the summer heat we are always looking for ways to cool down, so I made this delicious milk bars or popsicles with strawberry and banana. In June when it was strawberry season in Ontario, it has become our tradition to take the kids and pick our own strawberries in a local farm close to home. I usually remove the top and cut the strawberries into two and freeze it.

Wholly guacamole and salsa review and giveaway

Wholly guacamole and salsa are made with all natural ingredients without any preservatives or additives.  Their products are fat and gluten free made in Mexico.  The flavour is delicious to dip on its own or to add into other dishes.
We tasted the wholly guacamole inside our sushi as I rolled it with sushi rice, nori and other ingredients.  We also enjoyed its flavour inside pita and tortilla wraps.  The guacamole tasted delicious when served as a dip with chips.  Wholly guacamole comes in a variety of classic, spicy and pico de gallo flavours.  It comes in packages easy to serve with meals on a regular basis and at parties.  It also comes in snack packs, which would be lovely for travelling and work.
The wholly chunky avocado is useful especially when avocado are not in season and when it is expensive.  It stays good in the freezer for 3 months.
When we keep the open package in the fridge it spoils faster and blackens.  I found this product at Metro in the organic section by the produce.

The new line of wholly salsa looks really delicious and flavourful.  The classic salsas are available in mild, medium and hot.  The specialty flavours are pineapple, red pepper mango, roasted tomato, avocado, and guacamole & spicy pico.
Salsas can be used for more than just dipping with chips.  We can serve with pasta, flatbread/ tortillas, topped with grilled shrimp and seafood.  I like the colourful packaging and the useful spice meter that is printed on the package.  The spice meter indicates the level of spice/heat.
I looked for this new line of products at the Superstore and Metro, which didn't carry it.  I am looking forward to visit Freshmart or Valu-mart to see if I can find it.
It is supposed to be available in the organic section of the grocery stores such as Real Canadian Superstores, Loblaws, Metro, Fortinos, Zehr, IGA's in British Columbia, Safeway, Overwaitea, Sobey's (Atlantic stores only) and at various independent grocers.
The adults at home enjoy the kick of spice and heat, and the children enjoy the flavourful mild tasting salsas; so I am really looking forward to find this salsa.   Products from eatwholly is kosher certified and has natural healthy ingredients that has lots of health benefits.
