Experiencing Wilderness Aboard Agawa Canyon Tour Train

We went on a fun one day wilderness rail excursion from 8 am to around 6:30 pm aboard the Agawa Canyon Tour Train. This unique scenic ride carries us 114 miles or 183 km north of Sault Ste. Marie and is open from June to mid October.

Each site is unique, as the founders' focus on local style, international design and African artistry. As its corporate credo states: "Life's too short for bland." At the company's centre lies its own collision of cultures – an Afro-Portuguese mash-up best represented by its signature dish of butterfly-cut, flame-grilled chicken immersed in spicy PERi-PERi sauce. We really enjoy the unique flavours of Nando's chicken.

We have a detached garage, which we haven't made use of much other than storing belongings. Last summer, we realized the value of having an extended separate space especially as our interests and hobbies have grown. Due to our love for DIY projects, woodworking, gardening, and crafts, we decided to change our garage space to fully utilize and accommodate these interests.

The Entomica Insectarium in Sault Ste. Marie

I am glad my family and I visited the Entomica insectarium in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. The visit helped us see how insects are important for vegetation, wildlife, and the eco-system. Getting to take an up-close look at the different insects during the tour by an expert in the insectarium really helped us see how each insect is unique. We enjoyed touching, holding, and observing the different insects from around the world. I felt this visit has helped us to become more empathetic towards insects.

We enjoyed going on a road trip to Northern Ontario in the 2016 Toyota Highlander Hybrid limited edition. We loved the smooth and comfortable drive, and think that this vehicle is perfect to go on road trips or for everyday use close to home. We were introduced to Disney's new princess Elena, during our holiday Hasbro toy preview event. This compassionate teenage princess's story is inspired by diverse Latin cultures and folklore. The line of Elena of Avalor dolls will be available to purchase this Fall.

Canal Historic Site in Sault Ste. Marie

During our recent road trip to Sault Ste. Marie, my family and I enjoyed visiting the Sault Ste. Marie Canal National Historic Site. We can learn about how canals and locks operate at this site either by discovering at our leisure or joining a guided tour. By taking the guided tour and exploring the visitor's centre we learned a lot about the lock system and canals. 

Our Visit to Grundy Lake Provincial Park

We loved our hikes at Grundy Lake Provincial Park because of the beautiful scenic views from every angle! Other than the bothersome flies, we enjoyed the peaceful scenic views, listening to the birds, and the sound of the frogs croaking. Our children loved the cliffs and the adventure of climbing them.
