Compact Chamberlain Universal Mini Garage Door Remote

Chamberlain Universal Mini Garage Door Remote
Recently, we shared how we brought our garage door to life using the Chamberlain MyQ Garage Door Controller that we find very handy. When we use the app to close the garage door it makes a loud beeping sound to warn that it is closing, and we feel that this sound can attract attention. However, when using the new Chamberlain Universal Mini Garage Door Remote to close the garage door it does not make the warning sound since we are physically close by.

This sleek new Universal Mini remote control can be attached to a key ring, and looks similar to a key fob from a luxury car. Since the remote is small and much more compact than a standard remote, it is easy to carry around. This remote uses replaceable lithium battery, which makes it long lasting.

This remote can be programmed to work with any garage door opener manufactured after 1993 that has a sensor on each side of the garage door, which is standard in almost all garage doors.

This remote has two buttons that can be programmed for different functions as well. The buttons are two half circles that sits a little raised on the surface of the remote. Since the buttons sit on top and are very sensitive, we have opened the garage door unintentionally multiple times. It would be better if the buttons need to be pressed in to open the door.

Overall, we find this remote to be convenient, as it is compact and can be add along other keys. Since it is small it can be taken on running errands or when riding the bike. This Chamberlain Universal Mini Garage Door Remote can be purchased at Home Depot in the U.S. and Canada, as well as online at Chamberlain.

  14. I love the portable size of this - local police have been warning people not to keep their garage door openers in their cars due to recent break ins in which remotes are being stolen for access. It would be great to keep my remote on my key ring. I would have to be careful about the sensitivity issue you mentioned though - our garage door will open if our remote is pushed from the other side of the house, so I could accidentally re-activate the door after leaving which would re-open it in my absence. It's happened to me before when I put our big remote in my purse for safe-keeping...
