Glass Paint Container

I chose is hexagon shaped glass for this project, so it took me a few days to complete it. I had to wait for each side to dry, to avoid the paint from running off. I like how the design and the colours turned out.

For this project, similar to my Glass stained vase project I used...
Glass Jar
Glass leading in black
Different coloured glass paint from DecoArt

First, I did the design free hand using the black leading paint on each side and left it to dry before I turned and continued the same design on all the sides.

I filled the inside of the design using different colours, and did the same to all the sides of the jar. One the jar is completely dry it is ready to be filled and used.

  3. This is a cute idea. I used to do the stain glass painting. I still have a bunch of it and should bet into it again. These jars would be great for out on the patio with candles. Thank You for the idea

  4. I like the idea. I recently started to paint the glass. I am not as good as the designs (just doing straight colours) so, I was very interested in how you did this.

  10. My daughter just did this in her art class! I love the way the colour pops when outlined in black.
