Craft Books: Homemade Interiors and Let's Knit

I love getting inspiration for crafts from colourful books. The DK Craft Boutique has lots of fabulous books that are inspiring to get us started. Since I love to do a variety of different crafts and always challenge myself to learn new one, I enjoy books that are easy to follow with step-by-step pictures and instructions. I also encourage my children to not only use their imagination to be creative, but also be observant on the variety of different material that they can incorporate for their arts and craft projects.
Handmade Interiors is a wonderful book that will be enjoyed by those who like to do DIY home decor projects, sew, and do crafts. This book includes step-by-step ideas for every room in the home from cushion covers, curtains, blinds, bedding, and more. It is compiled by experts in home design, covering the whole process of creating professional looking soft furnishings, with advice on fabrics and suggested variations to help make each project personal.
Let’s Knit is a children friendly book that teaches the basics of how to knit such as casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch, and casting off. There are 12 easy projects that children will enjoy making such as bag charms, bracelets, bags, cats, and owl.
I love how colourful the projects in this book is. I like that this book is motivating for children to get started on their own. My daughter enjoys looking through this book and learning from it because it is written in a children friendly language that can be easily followed to start knitting.
