Get Creative This Holiday With Crayola

My daughter and I enjoyed using the Crayola Beadola Charm Maker kit to make fun, detailed beads. The kit includes 3 1/4 lb air drying clay bags in grey, pink, and purple, 25 gems, and four bead plates with twenty four bead designs such as hearts, stars and more for us to make imprints on the clay beads.

It also includes a paint brush and four glaze paint pots: crystal glitter, gloss glaze, silver metallic glaze, and pink glamour dust that can be used to add colour and shimmer to the beads we make. It also has two bracelet chains to put the completed beads and wear it just for fun. I like that the kit comes with everything we need to make these beads.
Since there are 180 grommets we can make quite a few beads with this kit. It does take some patience and practice to make the beads. This Beadola Bead Maker is for children over 8 years, however I think some children may find it disappointing when the beads they make do not turn out to be similar to the ones shown on the box.
I found that I had to use my fingers to shape the beads and could not rely only on the bead maker to help me make the beads in the same shape. I couldn't get the beads to have a circular shape and at the same time make the grommets to show clearly. It would have been helpful if the bead maker had a slot to place the soft clay before we press the bead maker down for the grommets to attach, so the clay beads retain a shape similar to the ones shown on the box.
I did not like that the finished beads when wet becomes soft and the colour comes out. The colours stain the fingers and clothes. If the beads fall they also crack. This kit is only for the purpose of having fun, and the beads the children make are not intended to be worn or used as costume jewelry.
The kit comes with 16 drying spools to let the clay dry, so it would be a good activity for children to do with their friends and siblings on a rainy day, weekend, evenings or during the holiday.
This Widescreen Light Designer gives us the space to let our creativity go big, bold, and bright. We can scribble, doodle, and draw shapes, figures, designs or whatever we imagine. When we want to create a new design all we have to do is wipe the screen and continue designing. Only thing my children and I wished was that it comes with a cloth to wipe clean more easily. I found using a damp cloth first then a dry cloth afterwards to be helpful to easily clean this large and fun board.
My children enjoy looking at the things they write and draw with the added light and animation. When we slide the action button we can illuminate our designs and then choose from seven different lighting effect sequences to show off what we have created. We need to place 3 AA batteries for this, which is not included. The Widescreen Light Designer includes a panel kickstand on the back that allows us to display our designs in either portrait or landscape orientation. We can also mount the Widescreen Light Designer on the wall to show off our creations.
I like that we can keep the six markers that come with the Widescreen Light Designer organized and within easy reach, since there are six integrated storage slots on the back of the screen. My children find it easy to clean up once they are done using the Widescreen Light Designer, as they can simply snap the markers in place until they use it again.
This Widescreen Light Designer is designed for everyone over 6 years, however I think even children between 4 and 6 years will enjoy this, as both my children liked drawing, writing and playing games on it such as tic-tac-toe. This Widescreen Light Designer would also be wonderful if we write a message and leave it in a dark room with its lighting effects to add some cheer for our loved ones anytime of the year.
