Win Your Own Fun DK March Break Books

DK Books has a wonderful collection of books at 30% off for a limited time to celebrate March Break. My family and I really enjoy DK books because it is educational, colourful and present information in a fun way. These valuable books teach us about new and well loved subjects like dinosaurs, space and more.

Every dinosaur fan will enjoy the Simthsonian Dinosaurs and other Prehistoric Creatures book, which is full of educational and interesting information. Since we are excited about checking out what happens at real dinosaur digs during the March Break at the ROM, we were quite excited to read this book and become knowledgeable before our visit.
The book taught us that dinosaur fossils survive for millions of years sealed inside rocks, and over time the rocks are worn away by weather and the hidden fossils are revealed. We read that Fossil hunters discover the site, and then they recover the fossils using tools such as chisels, scrapers and brushes. These recovered fossils are then taken to study in the laboratory and reconstructed to build up a picture of what the dinosaur might have looked like.
Since my children are LEGO fans we checked out the awesome LEGO Play book that is full of colourful, inspiring ideas on how to become more creative with LEGO. The LEGO Play book encourages children and adults to think, build, and play creatively. It features more than 200 ways LEGO can be used to build different things such as castles, beach boats and more. The inspiring models in the book encourage the use of imagination and play in new ways, creating amazing LEGO models.
The book has a mixture of simple, medium, and complex models that teach builders tips and tricks to get the most out of their blocks. This book is fantastic for any LEGO builder looking to be inspired.
We also checked out their Dinosaurs Doodlepedia activity book. We chose the dinosaur themed Doodlepedia book because dinosaurs fascinate us. This book is keeping my son busy as it has many dinosaur-themed drawing activities, colouring, sketching, designing, matching, and finding. It is perfect to take along when we are on the road, as it will provide hours of fun while teaching children factual content.
