Polysporin® Eczema Essentials™

Eczema is a skin condition that many people in Canada either have themselves or know someone else that does. The common signs and symptoms of this skin rash, is sometimes itchy dry skin, redness, swelling, cracking, crusting or scaling that is difficult to deal with. The unpredictability of when and how it comes, and the effects it causes to our lives is worrisome, so finding a solution to it is important.

I find in our home along with winter, comes this problem of eczema that we have to cope with and try our best to avoid and keep its symptoms minimal. It is difficult to fully avoid it, but we have been continuously applying Lipikar for my son, which has helped him. However, recently we found out after consulting the doctor that my daughter was getting eczema in her hands and feet. For this she got strong medication cream from the doctor for a week to help it heal. The doctor asked us to stop the medicine after a week and to make sure we were preventing the eczema from getting worse by applying lots of moisturizer.
I didn't know about Polysporin® Eczema Essentials™ until recently, so we put it to test on our skin. Polysporin® Eczema Essentials™ Daily Body Wash is a soap-free, fragrance-free, gentle cleanser that can be used everyday. It moisturizes the most dry sensitive skin, as the Relipid™ formula in this wash contains lipid, humectant, emollient and botanical blend to help keep the essential moisture the skin needs. We squeezed the body wash onto our hands then gently applied the lather to our skin, rinsed it and patted it dry.
We used the Polysporin® Eczema Essentials™ Daily Moisturizing Cream, which has clinically proven to provide healthier skin in 3 days when used twice a day after a mild wash. This cream is known to reduce the itch immediately. This steroid-free, fragrance-free Relipid™ formula goes beyond the other daily lotions to relieve dryness. We can apply this cream to affected areas as needed. The Polysporin® Eczema Essentials™ Daily Wash and Moisturizer is approved by the Eczema Society of Canada can be used everyday by children and adults.
Polysporin® Eczema Essentials™ Hydrocortisone Anti-Itch cream is for anyone over two years to help relieve flare-ups and minor skin irritations, inflammation and rashes due to eczema. This anti-itch cream is to be used sparingly by massaging into the skin of the affected area 2 to 4 times daily for up to a maximum of 7 days. This cream temporarily relieves the itching and skin irritations caused by eczema, soaps, detergents, poison ivy, poison oak and cosmetics. This anti-itch cream is useful to have in our medicine cupboard and use it in small amounts.

Eczema is unpredictable and hard to keep under control in cold weather, so I am glad we got to know about the Polysporin® Eczema Essentials™ Daily Wash and Moisturizer that has helped to restore our skin.

  2. My elder daughter has had severe eczema since four months of age. We have had to resort to strong topical steroids in addition to moisturisers. We have tried various moisturisers but yet to find a satisfactory one ........I think we should now give Polysporin a shot
