Loving and Finding Our Own Paths

I encourage my children to forge their own paths. I think it is important for me as a parent to have an open mind and give lots of exposure to life experiences. I think it is also important for me to teach my children my values and beliefs, so they are aware of it when they make their own choices.

All Hail King Julien Party

We had the pleasure of attending an advanced screening party to watch All Hail King Julien, and learn the steps to King Julien's dance and have fun King Julien style. I enjoy watching movies that bring back good memories with my children. I think it is cool to share some of the funny movies with good themes from our childhood with our children. My children and I went through the Children's Book of the Movies to learn about and check out what happens behind-the-scenes in the world of cinema.

Earth Related Eye-Opening Programs on Netflix

Earth Month is the perfect time to reflect, appreciate, and educate our selves on all that our planet offers. My family and I like watching documentaries together because it’s a great way to start important conversations. The above is a picture of a diorama my daughter made using recycled materials to show how Sri Lankan elephants are being impacted due to deforestation. The project was completed under candlelight when we were observing earth hour last weekend.
Some suggestions of shows that the family can watch and learn from:
