Mod Podge Box To Keep Travel Finds

I really enjoyed turning an old plastic box into this cute box to keep our travel finds, and memorable things. I used left over paint from my Mod Podge Sheer Colour marbled vase project to get this brown colour for the lid of the box. Adding this sheer colour over the atlas gave the atlas a nice brown colour effect, as well as helped seal the atlas paper and gave it a durable coating.
I really like the different Mod Molds that are available. These molds can be used in a variety of ways to personalize our projects.
The Mod Podge tool kit and easy clean up tools have helped me during the project to keep my work space clean and to work with mod melts.
For this project I used...
Atlas
Mod Melts any colour
Mod Melts
Mod Molds Travel
Scissors
Glue gun
Plastic box
Acrylic paint
Pen
I used the Mod Molds Travel with a white Mod Melt and then squeezed the mod melt onto the mold to get the shape of the suitcase and plane to stick on top of this box.
I took settled the mod melt from the mold and used scissors to shape the mod melt slightly. I painted the mod metls using acrylic paint and added details with a pen.
To decorate the box, I used the Mod Podge Sheer Colour. It also helped me glue the atlas paper to the plastic box. I left it to completely dry before adding the painted Mod Melts.

  18. How ironic my cousin just posted pics of her art from podge. My mom used to podge straw hats with scraps of fabric.
