Experiencing the Fun of Creative Club LEGO Summer Camp

There are over 100,000 LEGO® bricks in various colours and shapes, boards to build on, and experienced counsellors to lead the children at the Creative Club LEGO Summer Camp. All LEGO fans, and those who are just getting into LEGO will enjoy this camp. At the camp children get inspired to build structures out of LEGO® based on daily themes and projects with their peers and instructors.
I like that children can play indoors in a safe environment, and are also taken outside weather permitting to play in the park for free play, as well as to play group games.
The LEGO groups are divided by age and they have three groups. My daughter was part of the oldest group, LEGO Designers. She really enjoyed building structures along with other children in her group. The structures they built included a hospital, different country flags, parks, swimming pool, and a two-story house. She really liked the idea of working together and building, which made her even more enthusiastic about playing with LEGO that made me really happy. It was neat to see the details and thought that has gone into the structures. When I asked my daughter about what she liked at camp, she said she enjoyed making structures that were similar to real structures.
LEGO helps children to develop in so many different ways, physically as they manipulate the LEGO bricks, cognitively as they think of strategies to build, their communication and social skills when they share their ideas and thoughts with others and build as a team. LEGO also helps children to express their thoughts and makes them feel happy as both the process and the end product of their work is valued. Both my children felt like valued members of the groups, and told me that everyone in the camp is friendly, and it is a really fun camp.

At the end of the day I asked my son, "What is your favourite part about going to this camp? His response was, "Building with LEGO!" My son was part of the LEGO Explorers group and really enjoyed his day at LEGO camp. Being a LEGO fan since he was little, and being able to be part of building LEGO all day he didn't know when time flew by, as he built a whole city and a zoo along with the members of his group. He told me, he enjoyed looking at other children's structures and also showing others how to make LEGO trees to add to the park they were building.
I like how Rob, the LEGO Man keeps parents informed, so we can see what they did at camp and celebrate their abilities. If you want your child to be part of the Creative Club Summer Camp in Toronto, then register soon. Check out more information about the camp on their siteFacebook and Twitter.
