Science and Style in These Vionic Flip Flops

I prefer to wear orthotics in all my footwear for daily use, as it gives me the support and prevents backaches after long stretches of standing. However, I have not seen or owned a pair of shoes or flip-flops that has built-in orthotics. I am glad I got to check out the Tide Vionic flip-flops with built-in biomechanical orthotics. This year they will also be expanding their popular wedge line by debuting the demi-wedge and platform that are stylish and has concealed contouring to provide support for all-day wear.

While VionicTM is a new brand on the outside, its most prominent feature is the tried-and-true Orthaheel® technology on the inside. Orthaheel® technology helps reduce over-pronation, which can relieve associated common pains. It has stability in the deep heel cup, support in the footbed and relief in the forefoot contour.

Phillip Vasyli, a podiatrist with 30 years of practice undertook ground-breaking research in lower limb biomechanics and orthotic treatment that led him to make orthotic treatment affordable and accessible to people in need of pain relief, walking comfort and overall well-being. Vionic Innovation LabTM is composed of the leading group of experts specializing in the fields of health and biomechanics that has made available a wide selection of slippers, sandals and shoes for women and men.
If you are not used to orthotics, you will definitely need some getting used to without giving up. It is suggested that the footwear needs to be worn for a few hours at a time for the first few days to allow the body to adapt to the technology. Since I use orthotics on a regular basis, I found the flip-flops to be comfortable for my feet. I would have liked if the strap that goes between the big toe and the second toe was a little softer. Can't wait for the weather to get warmer so I can where these flip-flops more often and test it outside.
