Join the Pirate Life at Centre Island

If you want to live the life of a pirate, you don't have to go too far! We can now experience the Pirate Life right in the heart of Toronto at Centre Island. Children and adults will love joining the pirates for over an hour of fun while cruising around Centre Island. We loved the interactive theatrical performance that kept us engaged and excited the whole time.
The adventure theatre that is presented in a family fun manner involves all the audience especially the children because they get to be part of the play.
Joining the scurvy crew on the Island Rogue pirate ship and searching for treasure is a memorable experience that is new to Toronto this year, and you don't want to miss it!
Get to your tour at least half an hour before depature time to get your boarding passes and do lots of pre-boarding activities. My children loved playing the fun and exciting pirate games before embarking on their adventure.
They have a collection of vests, sashes, and bandanas that we can rummage through and find the perfect one to put on during our adventure. My son decided to take his pirate bandana with his name on it, and loved that he got to bring the story on the book he owned since he was two and a half become a reality. Getting dressed up is half the fun; after all you want to be part of the crew right!
We all got original pirate names before putting on the easily washable face paint on our face and hands. My children wanted their fabulous looking pirate signs and hearts on their hand.
Since the team at Pirate Life follows safety procedures per Transport Canada, the safety and first aid trained crew reviewed and demonstrated about the life saving equipment that was in this 45 feet vessel.
Climbing aboard the ship pirate style, and then sitting, standing, and moving around the deck listening to the story, and doing different actions and in the end finding the treasure was awesome.
We got to sing songs, make promises, and do lots of actions as part of the play. My children said their favourite part was using the water cannons and aiming the water at a pirate that came to steal the treasure.
Children will love that in the end of the show they get to hold onto a piece of treasure to remember the trip by.
It is easy to spot the pirates, as they are just over the green bridge by Centreville. Make a point to go visit Centre Island this summer, and join the pirates and make lasting memories with your children.
You can buy tickets online, by phone, or at T. O. Tix on Yonge and Dundas. Children and adult tickets cost $25 per person. You can also host your birthday parties and corporate functions.
Currently, they operate on weekends. Starting June 26th and until the end of August they will be running seven days a week weather cooprating. In September and October they operate on weekends, and on prebooked tours for special events and school groups during the week.
