Our Experience at the Espace Pour La Vie Montreal

During our stay in Montreal, we visited the Space for Life. We took the train from the hotel to this space, which was convenient than looking for parking and finding the location. I like that all the four attractions are close by, which makes it convenient to visit the attraction at the same time; especially because we went for a short visit.
The Space for Life is an inviting space that allows us to explore and learn from. The Botanical Garden, The Insectarium, the Biodôme and the Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium are fun for the whole family. It is a wonderful place to visit all year long, as they have special activities to encourage us to reflect, dream and relax depending on the season and time.
We started off at the Biodôme. From the time we entered we were very excited and enjoyed the layout and the different types of ecosystems such as Tropical Rainforest, Laurentian Maple Forest, Gulf of St. Lawrence, Sub-Antarctic Islands, and the Labrador Coast.

There is wonderful unique collection of animals, and it says there are over 4500 animals, 250 different species and 500 plant species in total at the Biodôme.
Seeing the lynx, the different types of penguins, and the caimans was our favourite.

Each of the different ecosystems taught us about the landscape, climate, the vegetation in the different areas, as well as about the types of animals that can be found in these areas.
After our visit to the Biodôme, we spent the morning at the Planetarium enjoying two shows and learning about the solar system and stars. The seating in both the shows were setup differently and it is a must see experience. The guides made the show lots of fun to watch and learn from.
We are not allowed to take picture during the show, as it interrupts with the tour. While waiting for the shows to start they have an interactive space for children to explore the planets and other things found in space.
After the Planetarium, we went to the Insectarium that is attached to the to the Botanical gardens. The Insectarium is a warm indoor space that allows us to explore and learn about different types of insects and see how colourful and unique they are.

We then went to see the most beautiful of all the spaces, the Botanical Garden. We spent the whole evening looking at the variety of colourful plants, and the different landscapes despite the slight rain from time to time.

We enjoyed walking through the different sections of the garden. The exhibition gardens are separated such as Alpine garden, Aquatic garden and more.
We even spotted a red fox, and enjoyed the exhibition of the Chinese culture, Japanese culture, and the Native culture.
While going through the different gardens, I felt it was so well done that we felt like we were transported to the different countries such as China, Japan and up north.

I think everyone who visits Montreal should visit the Space for Life or Espace Pour La Vie Montreal.
