Celebrate With This Easy to Make Tiramisu

February is a month of celebration for many of us, and there are lots of things happening this month in our home from a special birthday celebration, family day and more. So, I will be making Tiramisu at least a couple of times this month because everyone in my family enjoys this easy to make dessert. We can make this alcohol free, children friendly Tiramisu ahead of time. During these cold winter months we all need a "pick me up" dessert, so here is my recipe to make Tiramisu at home.

1 cup of mascarpone cheese *link to make it at home
Zabaglione custard with 3 egg yolks *make at least 1 hour before
1 cup whipping cream
2 tbsp icing sugar
48 savoiardi or lady's finger cookies store bought
2 cups of hot water
4 tbsp Nescafe
3 tbsp sugar
cocoa powder to sprinkle

Whip whipping cream with 2 tbsp icing sugar till it makes peaks, then mix the mascarpone cheese and zabaglione custard cream to this and keep aside for the filling.

Mix the Nescafe and sugar with the boiling hot water. Wait for few seconds so you can handle the heat of the water and quickly dip one cookie at a time and place it in the serving dish. Dip the cookies in and out quickly or it will become soggy.

After layering the cookies put the filling and layer cookies again in the opposite direction from before. Put the filling again and sprinkle cocoa powder on top and cover the Tiramisu with a foil paper, without touching the top. Leave it in the fridge overnight before serving. For more details and pictures of the process, check my previous post.

General Mills will be showing their support as a sponsor of Team Canada this month. There will be a fun contest coming up with Pillsbury Toaster Strudel towards in the end of this month, so check out Life Made Delicious Facebook.
