Make Ahead of Time Classic KFC Style Coleslaw

I make this classic KFC Coleslaw very often in our home because it is easy and flavourful. It is a delicious salad to make ahead of time and keep in the fridge for our guest during the holiday or to accompany a meal. The coleslaw tastes better the second or third day and keeps fresh for up to a week. To make this at home, you will need...

10 cups diced green cabbage
1 cup diced green bell pepper
1/2 cup grated white onion
1/2 cup shredded carrot
2 cups Miracle Whip Light dressing
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup vegetable oil
In a bowl, mix all the vegetables together. In a separate bowl mix the Miracle Whip, sugar, vinegar and oil together then combine it with the vegetables. Let the salad rest in an airtight container in the fridge before serving it cold.
November is a busy month at the General Mills with goodness from Yopa to Multigrain Cheerios. There will be special offers on Hamburger Helper packages, so we can get ready to cheer on Team Canada in style.

  2. I love KFC coleslaw, but I didn't realise there would be so much sugar in it. Do you use just regular sugar or caster sugar?

    1. Neither did I until I made the recipe. I used regular white sugar since we are making at home this is where we can reduce the amount and use brown sugar etc and change it to suite our preference
