How Things Work Series and Giveaway

We like the DK's How Things Work series, as it explores and explains a wide range of complex subjects clearly and simply using a combination of bold, eye-catching graphics and simple, easy-to-understand text. We like how everything is explained in details, to make us understand the topics better. There are lots of cool facts on each of the topics.

How Science Works, explores the answers to questions on 70 topics in the areas of matter, physics, energy, chemistry, life science, earth science, technology, and the universe. Have you ever wondered how airplanes stay in the air, how holograms are made, or how ants lift things many times their size? You'll find answers to these enigmas as well as learn about more complex developments such as gravitational waves, and the mysteries of dark matter.
The diagrams and colourful images makes the topics more interesting to explore. We like that everything related is easily incorporated into the same page, for example the Periodic table includes all the information from the full name of the element, atomic number, mass, as well as the periods and groups.
How Food Works explains key concepts about food and what makes it good or bad for us, and it  brings the science of food to life. The visual approach with infographics makes the concepts less confusing, making us understand the link between different types of food and how it affects our body.

It is interesting to learn about the difference between hunger and appetite, how our senses contribute, the nutrients our food contain and how it affects us, details on different food items, how cooking affects food and its nutrients, dietary patterns, and more. It has a wealth of knowledge to better understand the direct impacts of food to our body.
How Money Works looks at how governments control money, how companies make money, how financial markets work, how individuals can maximize income through investments, and much more. Hundreds of terms are defined, along with the essential basics of financial systems, from the definition of a bond to using cryptocurrencies, managing debt, avoiding online fraud, and how crowdfunding works.

It explains the history of currencies, from bartering to Bitcoin, and how money makes the world go 'round. How Money Works is a completely comprehensive guide that helps us make sense of money, and understand the basics of economics.
