Rice Krispies Multi-Grain Shapes Crafternoon

Whether it is family breakfast or having an afternoon snack, it is always great to have easy, nutritional food choices for our children to enjoy. My children enjoy eating cereal mostly for breakfast, but occasionally they would eat it as snack as well. I really enjoy using the regular Kellogg's Rice Krispies to make snacks for my children, and find my inspiration for recipes from their site.
Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Multi-Grain Shapes cereal is made with wholesome grains and provides 11 grams of whole grains per serving. My children were excited to see the new Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Multi-Grain Shapes. I am glad that it has a good source of fibre, and has eight essential nutrients including iron. It has 20 per cent of the daily value of Vitamin D, and is free of saturated and trans fats, and artificial flavours or colours. I am glad the new small containers are BHT free as well.
We incorporated the Rice Krispies Multi-Grain Shapes as an inspiration for our "Crafternoon." My children and their friends enjoyed spending an afternoon doing arts and crafts activities, and enjoying the Rice Krispies Multi-Grain Shapes cereal. I think the Shapes are a good way for our children to learn cognitive skills that will later help them learn math, science, languages, and more.
I like that Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Multi-Grain Shapes come in four inspiring puffed multigrain shapes: stars, fish, trees and “me.” These fun, and whimsical designs did spark imaginations and encouraged creativity as the children did their collages. I also think these Shapes will inspire children to come up with their own stories while eating breakfast, which is wonderful way for us to inspire our children before they go to school... and write their journals and stories :)
Children enjoyed using their imagination to create these art inspired by shapes. They cut out magazines, characters from the cereal box, and different materials with texture to make unique collages.
Craft items you will need for children to do this open ended activity...
Card stock
Pencil crayons and markers
Acrylic paint
Glue
Scissors
A variety of cloth, ribbon and paper for the collage

After spending the afternoon cutting, pasting and using their imagination all the children had Rice Krispies Multi-Grain Shapes with milk. Some chose to enjoy the cereal plain, and some with warm milk, and others with cold milk. The Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Multi-Grain Shapes can be found in the cereal aisle of the grocery store.
You can also make an afternoon of creative fun by making Rice Krispies treats with your loved ones, and then share pictures on social media with the hashtag #TreatsforToys, from now until December 24th. When we share the pictures, Kellogg's Rice Krispies for the second year will donate $20 to The Salvation Army to buy a toy for a child in need.

  4. I'm in Calgary. I buy a lot of generic/store brand products, but there are certain items that HAVE to be name brand, and kelloggs cereals are one of those items. We go through at least 2-3 boxes of Kelloggs cereals each week (5 kids), not to mention other goodies like rice krispie treats for their lunches etc.
