My children enjoy watching Sofia the First that premiered on Disney Junior Channel in January 2013. We are so happy about the newly released 50 minutes DVD of Sofia the First: Once Upon a Princess, which my children enjoy watching over and over.

The movie is about Sofia learning to be a princess after her mom marries the king. She has to learn what it means to be a true princess and to fit in with her new family including her step-father, King Roland II, and step-siblings, Amber and James. Sofia quickly discovers that looking like a princess isn't all that difficult, but possessing the characteristics of a true princess such as honesty, loyalty, courage, independence, compassion and grace is what makes one truly royal.
While living in a captivating world of castles, wizards and flying horses, Sofia is a relatable peer-to-peer princess who is experiencing many of the same social situations as our children such as learning how to fit in, making new friends and conquering new skills.
Helping her in this journey are the three headmistresses of Royal Prep Academy Fauna, Flora and Merryweather; the royal steward, Baileywick; and a group of cute woodland creatures including a rabbit named Clover; as well as Cinderella.
We really enjoyed watching this fun DVD. My daughter loved it when Sofia and Amber became friends. My son enjoyed the times when Sofia was in Princess school learning. We enjoyed the trailers on the DVD and singing along to the wonderful songs. Here is a clip for you to watch...
