We can't wait for the warm season when fun theme parks start opening for rides. If thrilling rides are on your bucket list then this article will help you plan which Canadian theme parks you should check out and add to your list.

Galaxyland, Edmonton
The West Edmonton Mall holds the world’s largest indoor amusement park. It has a lot to brag about apart from its 27 thrilling rides. If you are a geek for all things space, then this is the amusement park for you. It has a space theme and is home to Mindbender, the largest indoor triple loop roller coaster in the world. It also boasts a four-storey indoor jungle gym. There are also a variety of arcade games meant for everyone of all ages to enjoy. You can use your Polaroid camera to capture the moment with friends or family. Either way you will be sure to be swept off into another galaxy.

Magic Mountain Splash Zone, Moncton
This magical place is exactly as its name suggests. It has plenty of rides for everyone including classic amusement rides. If you enjoy having 3.6 million litres of water splashing around in three giant loops, then this is the perfect place for you and your water-lovin' buddies. However, if you are an adrenaline junkie, hop on The Kamikaze, which runs at about 60 kilometres per hour. Not to fret if you have younger kids with you, there is always the Splashpad and the pool has three mini versions of slides.

Upper Clements Parks, Clements Park
Looking for something that has a mix of nature and fun? Perhaps you also want to combine nature with thrilling rides instead? Put down those binoculars because you will not need any for this park. The rollercoasters in this park will bring you the closest you will ever get to nature while still being able to face your fears.

No more hiding behind your friends or passing up on this one, you will want to try The Tree Topper Rollercoaster, which is also wooden. For those who seek some adventure, there are rope challenge courses and zip lines. Do not forget to put on your Dr. G sunscreen to protect your skin while you are having fun.

Canada's Wonderland, Vaughan
Our favourite, and the closest to home, Canada's Wonderland is the first and the largest theme park in Canada to date. The landscape encompasses 134 hectares of thrills and fun. In here, there is a ride called the "Leviathan." Befitting the ruthless connotations by Hobbes, this ride shall have you screaming from 93.27 metres, followed by an 80-degree drop that will leave you fazed, only to descend at a top speed of 148 kilometres an hour.

La Ronde, Montreal
This is the biggest theme park in Eastern Canada, situated at the tip of Saint Helen, which is near the oldest port in Montreal. This Six flag park has over 40 rides that are sure to delight everyone in the family. Come prepared and put on your best brave face for these rides; it is not for the faint of heart.

Playland Amusement Park, Vancouver
If you want something in the city, this theme park would be ideal for you cite-goers. It is located in downtown Vancouver and is one of the oldest theme parks in Canada. This theme park has joy rides, a haunted house, and arcade games. For those seeking to get your adrenaline on edge, you must try the Hellevator ride.

Fallsview Indoor Park, Niagara Falls
Have a plan to go to Niagara Falls and want something to tick off your sight? Then, this is the park for you. It is only a two-minute walk from the natural and famous Falls. In addition, it has the largest indoor waterpark in Canada, so, you do not want to miss this opportunity to have a splash and some fun. Read how much fun we had at Fallsview Indoor Park in this post.

Be sure to check out their websites and book your tickets in advance to avoid line ups at the ticketing counter to get the most out of your time. If you are planning to have fun at the waterparks, don't forget to get your swimwear ready.
