Our Stay at Jetwing Beach Hotel by the Golden Sandy Beaches

During our summer vacation in Sri Lanka, we had the pleasure of staying at the Jetwing Beach hotel in Negombo, Sri Lanka. We had a memorable stay at this hotel by the golden sandy beaches of Negombo.
We were welcomed to the spacious, homely reception with a cool scented wet cotton towel to refresh and a choice of cold beverage; mixed fruit juice, ice tea or king coconut water. The fresh drinks were perfect to beat the heat :)
Our accommodation included meals at their Sands restaurant, which is located on the ground level of the hotel.
There is a wide range of food in buffet style for us to select from for breakfast and dinner, while lunch is to be ordered from the menu.
The atmosphere and presentation of the dinning hall is formal and pleasant.
The hotel has a calm atmosphere that allowed us to have a good time during the day and night. We enjoyed taking a stroll after dinner and were able to take some beautiful night photography.
The Deck restaurant
We also have the choice of getting a meal or snack at their Black Coral or the Deck restaurant.
We enjoyed the beautiful landscape view from our room. When we woke up early morning, we were able to spot fishing boats going to sea.
It is neat how all the 75 spacious deluxe rooms and 3 luxury suits have a scenic view and face the ocean.
This hotel originally designed by the famous Geoffery Bawa has architectural designs that emphasizes on minimalism, which make the accommodation have a relaxing, serene feel. We enjoyed the interior design with glass, wood and earthy colour choices. Everything in the deluxe room we stayed in is well though out and was perfect for our family of 4.

The room is equipped with everything you can think of such as elegant furnishing,
comfortable bed,
LED TV with cable,
safe to keep our valuables, bathrobes, slippers,
drinks, snacks, facilities to make tea and coffee,
hair dryer, iron, stand in shower,
lavish bathtub, bathroom essentials and many more.
I liked that the clean, open concept designs were apparent throughout the hotel i.e. by the pool side, in the dinning hall, the reception, sitting areas.
I applaud the environmental and conservation practices the hotel participates in, such as sponsoring education programs and the Trees for life initiative where saplings are planted to save our mother earth.
The beach, pool and the delicious dining kept us quite busy during our stay. They also have a wellness facility, spa and fitness center if you are looking for other entertainment options.
There are lots to check out in the area if you are interested in exploring the historical and cultural sites especially the colonial past i.e. The Dutch Fort in Negombo and Dutch Canal.
The Jetwing Beach hotel situated twenty minutes from Katunayake International Airport is easily accessible when we arrive in Sri Lanka for leisure or business. I am glad we got the opportunity to stay and relax at Jetwing Beach hotel.
