Experiencing 4DX at the Theatre

4DX at the Theatre
Have you ever felt like you want to be part of the movie or wished you were there or thought "what if I could smell the space as the actors describe beautiful scenes"? Well, we can almost do this now with 4DX, the immersive multi-sensory experience technology! We were thrilled to watch the release of Warner Bros "Lego Movie 2" in 4DX. 4DX auditorium incorporates motion-based seating that is synchronized with more than 20 different effects which allows the audience to connect with movies through motion, vibration, water, wind, snow, lightning, scents, and other special effects that enhance the visuals on-screen.

It's like spending over an hour at an amusement park ride without the lines! It is totally a different movie going experience the whole family will enjoy.

CJ 4DPLEX is a leading, next-generation cinema technology company, headquartered in Seoul with international offices in Los Angeles and Beijing. The company has created immersive film technologies for theatres worldwide that include '4DX', 'ScreenX' and '4DX with ScreenX' for consumers to experience films in ways that were never before possible. There are more than 570 Hollywood and local titles screened in 4DX. To date, more than 70,000 4DX seats operate in 590 auditoriums, spanning 61 countries.

It was fun to experience how a team of skilled editors have work together to maximize the feeling of immersion within the movie, beyond the limits of audio and video. The seats are very comfortable, spread out, and has lots of leg room. We enjoyed as the seats moved, being lightly sprayed by mist, the breeze, the treble and ticklers we felt on our back and legs, the different lighting, even experienced the smell the movie was trying to project as we watched the movie with 3D glasses.

In Canada, the 4DX experience is only available at the Yonge and Dundas Cineplex. In the U.S.A. 4DX is rapidly expanding and will soon have over 85 locations. We enjoyed the humour and the overall "Lego Movie 2", and look forward to watching more movies on 4DX!
