Inspiring Our Children to Make a Positive Difference

As parents, we believe it is our duty to be good role models and inspire our sons and daughters to make a positive difference to society and the environment. Teaching that every little act makes a difference is becoming more and more important, especially in our fast-paced technology driven society. It is important that we take the time to slow down and see how we can benefit others, be more respectful, and conscientious.
We think that entertainment we choose can have lasting effects so we have to be more mindful of what we expose our children to.

Here are few movies on Netflix that we enjoyed watching together that you maybe interested in watching during March Break with your children...

  • Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No good, Very Bad Day
  • BFG
  • Growing Up Wild
  • The Mighty Ducks
  • Annie
  • Inside Out

We are looking forward to watch Netflix Original Series Julie's Greenroom on March 17th. This show by Jim Henson Company advocates for the arts and creativity. Julie Andrews will be joined by special guests such as Idina Menzel, Sara Bareilles, and Alec Baldwin.

Today, being International Women's Day I took the time to think about all the amazing strong female role models within my family and community that I look up to, who helped me grow and challenge myself. I am thankful for everyone who taught me to be comfortable and to be myself!

Reminding our children to be positive, helpful to others, and unique is very important! Check this Netflix video that reminds us we don't need to fit in to stand out.
