New Ariel Park at Santa's Village in Muskoka

We had the pleasure of visiting Santa's Village a couple of years ago, and again this summer. This famous and popular tourist destination in Bracebridge is nestled in Muskoka’s Enchanted Forest, halfway between the North Pole and the equator on the 45th parallel, which naturally makes it Santa’s one and only Canadian summer home. The Village celebrated its 60th year this season. There are two theme parks, an aerial park, a day camp, animals, and a family campground, where kids of all ages can visit Santa, enjoy rides, games, and countless other family-friendly activities.

Originally opened in 1955 to attract tourists into Bracebridge after the construction of Highway 11, Santa’s Village has always been owned and operated by very dedicated and passionate members of the Bracebridge and surrounding communities.
With one foot deeply planted in tradition, Santa’s Village has diligently maintained its original charm, all the while striving to make Santa’s summer home even more fun for families. Over the years, new attractions have been added, including the Spray ‘n’ Play Beach and Splash Pad, swan paddle boats, new playground equipment and an expanded arcade centre.
This year Santa's Village revealed a children’s aerial adventure park on Elves Island. This is a fun and exciting adventure children as young as 3 can be a part of. Children are able to climb an aerial course challenging their physical abilities in a safely constructed closed looped routing. Children will be between six and nine feet in the air traversing various Christmas themed obstacles along a wire rope constructed course that has a closed loop connection system so the participants can never become unattached until one of the qualified guides does so. I like that there are lots of guides that can help children to keep going and not fear the height.
My daughter and husband enjoyed the larger aerial park in Sportsland. This adventerous and challenging obstacle course with the new zip line course is an awesome experience for the extreme adventure seekers. A jump tower that has platforms at 40 feet and 70 feet where participants can "jump off" platforms with the use of the "Quick Jump" system is a thrilling experience. Before embarking on the adventure the participants get an explanation and demonstration of how everything works. This fun aerial park is always supervised by qualified guides, as they help and look out for safety first.
