As a customer, I think it very important when brands appreciate their customers; it is one reason to be loyal and stick with them. It is always nice to feel important and appreciated, so getting those special discounts and gestures even if it is a greeting card always adds that personal touch. This is important to me when I choose the type of brand we use, and choose to stick with. I also like it when brands and companies pay attention to helping others, which is one of the things that speak to who they are.
As a TELUS customer, I like their wonderful initiatives and #actsofcaring like the TELUS Grand Gestures Campaign, in which TELUS grants wishes to their most loyal customers. It is amazing to have our wishes come true even if it is just for a day, either it is travelling to a certain part of the world or just relaxing and getting pampered.
TELUS cares about the communities where we live, work and play, so putting customers first is their top priority and part of that is listening to customer feedback and thanking them for their loyalty. TELUS says that this focus on their customers guides everything they do, from their Give Where We Live philosophy to their Customers First days, where senior leaders interact with front-line team members to see what customers want first-hand.
TELUS also believes that a simple thank you can go a long way. While it would be easy to send a text or reach out with a quick call, they believe that some appreciations are just better shared in person. With this in mind, TELUS gave their loyal customer, Ramona, a big surprise to thank her for being such a great customer for almost 20 years. Ramona had told TELUS that she loves aviation, so the whole day was structured around her interests and desire to ride on an aerial plane: she even got to fly it! Ramona’s surprise was just the beginning.
The TELUS Care-a-Van team is rolling into town this week with a host of events and activities that will be taking place all week long to specially thank TELUS local customers and the Guelph community. TELUS is literally performing everyday acts of caring all over the Guelph community throughout the week. As part of this, they are donating $5 to the Guelph Children's Foundation for every use of #actsofcaring. They will be presenting a cheque to the Guelph Children's Foundation in the amount of $5000 in response to all the uses of #actsofcaring, which Donald Woodley (member of TELUS Board of Directors) will join the celebration and present the cheque. They are going door to door to the homes of their top 100 customers to thank them personally with a care package, as a small token of their appreciation. They are also hosting a free BBQ lunch for their top 1000 customers and their families at the local TELUS store. Check out other videos to see the initiatives done by TELUS.
