Experiencing 4DX at the Theatre

Have you ever felt like you want to be part of the movie or wished you were there or thought "what if I could smell the space as the actors describe beautiful scenes"? Well, we can almost do this now with 4DX, the immersive multi-sensory experience technology! We were thrilled to watch the release of Warner Bros "Lego Movie 2" in 4DX. 4DX auditorium incorporates motion-based seating that is synchronized with more than 20 different effects which allows the audience to connect with movies through motion, vibration, water, wind, snow, lightning, scents, and other special effects that enhance the visuals on-screen.

Love should be celebrated everyday! However, all across the world Valentine's Day ♡ is the day approximately 145 million Valentine's Day cards are exchanged industry-wide. This makes Valentine's Day the second-largest holiday for giving greetings cards. Hallmark first offered Valentine's Day cards in 1913 and began producing them in 1916.

Exploring the Joys of Winter at the Ottawa Gatineau Winterlude

We had an opportunity to celebrate the joys of winter in Canada's capital region, Ottawa-Gatineau. The annual Winterlude will be happening until February 18th. There are lots of free activities for the entire family! Check the official Winterlude site for details on hours and locations. We believe knowing more than one language is a gift, it makes you better understand everything around you and appreciate it more. It is never too late to learn a new language - so we checked out a few DK Language titles. Each of these books have a similar format so we can spend 15 minutes each day, and learn to speak, write, and understand in 12 weeks.

Lacy Ripples Blanket

This lacy ripples blanket measures 122 x 131 cm using 4 ply medium wool and a 5.5 mm crochet hook. Our completed blanket measures about 150 cm by 140 cm, as it depends on the type of wool and the tension. We can use any combination of wool, I used 2 balls of each of these three colour. The wool I used was the Red Heart Super Saver Jumbo 14 oz 744 yards. This design is from Bernat yarn.
