Becel Now Made with Simpler Ingredients

salmon wasabi appetizer
Although, my family and I continue to look for simplicity in the food we consume daily, it is quite difficult to know about all the different ingredients that go into basic kitchen supplies like margarine. Mainly because of this reason, a few years ago I completely stopped using margarine and used butter instead as it is easier to tell what goes into butter. Recently, I got a chance to attend the launch of Becel made with simpler ingredients and learn how margarine is made, as well as ask questions that have changed my perspective about margarine.

#MonsterJam 2016

monster jam trucks
Monster Jam shows are roaring loud and fun to watch! We love how these full action monster size trucks play on dirt like they are small Hot Wheel toys. This yearly Monster Jam show at Rogers Centre is super fun for everyone in the family. However, this year's show at Rogers Centre wasn't as cool as it was in the previous years. There wasn't as much action, so we were a little disappointed!

Make Informative Decisions with the Help of the Geek Squad at Best Buy

As parents, we all do some degree of "helicopter parenting" and hover over our children either because we fear they might get hurt or we can't let go of the idea that they are our babies. While conversing with Rebecca, a parent representative at the Best Buy #PermissionToHover back to school event, we agreed that the degree of how much each parent "hovers" over their children depends on the individual child, the situation, and the parent.

Going to the Island

Going to Centre Island is always fun for my family and I. It doesn't matter if you go every year or haven't been for years because going to the Island is a wonderful escape from the daily routine, and a fun way to enjoy summer. There are lots to do for the whole family. Our favourite activity is going to Centreville and enjoying the rides. This year we even got to meet pirates

Time to Register for TAC Summer Camp

In just about a month, it will be school holidays! I think children will benefit a lot if they get opportunities to do a variety of activities and use their time in both relaxing and productive ways such as participating at active summer camps. After our satisfying March Break experience at TAC sports, we are looking forward to experience the Toronto Athletic Camp for the summer.

TIFF Kids International Film Festival will be happening from April 7 to 19th. Now in its 18th year, the TIFF Kids International Film Festival has become one of the most important film festivals in the world with special programming and activities for children aged 3 through 13. I got to preview some fabulous short films and features. We totally enjoyed the La gang des hors-la-loi (The Outlaw League) and recommend everyone to watch this funny movie. The 2015 TIFF Kids Festival features a total of 126 films, comprising 25 features and 101 shorts hailing from 36 countries, including Australia, Germany, the Netherlands, Japan, France, India, Russia, and many more.

Our March Break Experience at Toronto Athletic Camps

tac sports camp
My children enjoyed their much anticipated March Break week at TAC Sports Camp. They loved how they were able to choose a different sport each day, and got a chance to explore basketball, soccer, and tennis. By the end of the active March Break week of fun my children were able to tell us what their favourite sport was and how each of them want to explore these sports further.

A Guide From Toronto Hydro to Help Us Prepare For An Emergency

Toronto Hydro
As parents, we’re responsible for the health and safety of our family. Part of this responsibility includes making sure we can care for our family, and are prepared to face challenges. In times of emergency it is always better to be prepared. I know how important this is especially during the winter, and after going through the 2013 ice storm experience and having to live through 5 days without power.

Be part of Female Empowerment by Opening Your Own Glama Gal Franchise

What better way to celebrate the upcoming International Women's day on March 8th than telling all of you about how you can be part of Female Empowerment. If you believe in being a positive role model and want to be your own boss, then opening your own Glama Gal Franchise would be ideal.

Glama Gal is Canada’s one and only Tween Spa that started in 2006 literally out of Laura and Josie's car where they traveled from home to to home to perform tween spa parties, and later in 2008 they opened their own location to entertain and inspire tweens through unique, safe, and healthy spa services.

Our Plans to be at Toronto Athletic Camp this March Break

tac sports camp
Our motive this March Break is to make it productive, learn something new, and to have fun. My children are eager they will be spending some of their time during the March Break learning how to play soccer, tennis, and basketball with children similar to their age at the Toronto Athletic Camp (TAC). The instructions are provided by top certified instructors trained from the National Certification Program of Canada (NCCP). I am glad there are wonderful camps such as this Sports Camp that will allow our children to be physically active, have fun, and spend less time with electronic devices, while we are either at work or haven't planned any big trips for the family during the one-week break.

Using Social Media For a Positive Change We365

I had the pleasure of attending We Day in Toronto where 20,000 students earned their ticket to be part of the event, by making a commitment through the We Act program to take action on at least one local and one global initiative of their choice. We Day features some of the world’s pop stars, social change-makers, and more importantly celebrates our youth and the work that they’ve done to give back in their communities.

Discoverying LEGOLAND Once More and a Giveaway

My family and I went to LEGOLAND exactly after a year :) and found it still to be fun and exciting. It was crowded during our visit and we had to wait in line for almost everything, regardless it was still fun. Not much has changed during the past year, except for a few things that we enjoyed. We liked the lights in the MINILAND changing to reflect how beautiful the Toronto landscape looks at night. We also enjoyed watching a different LEGO movie about knights and princess.
