OXO Essentials In Our Bathroom

OXO bathroom sink grip
Couple of years ago we added a shower stall for a bathroom in our home, and we find having a shower stall is more useful for our family. We built a barrier that gives us the option of being able to fill the shower stall with water. I found this OXO 5" silicone tub stopper allows us to effectively seal the drain to fill the shower stall with water if we want. The suction cup secures the stopper to the floor when we use it. I like that when we are not using the stopper, we can use the suction cup to store it upright.

Organizing with Kilner

The original Kilner jar invented by John Kilner and Co in the 1840's has stood the test of time for over 150 years. Although, the design has been updated, they have kept the unique vacuum feature that helps keep our blends, preserves, and pickles fresh. I find the Kilner jars can be used in lots of different ways, not just to store preserves and pickles. I used a variety of different sized Kilner Jars to organize my kitchen pantry.

The dimming feature in this lamp has memory function, so we can set to the level we prefer the most. The adjustable arm helps with directing light, and the LED does not have dark area or glaring. The lamp emits white light that is perfect for our eyes because it is not overwhelmingly bright.

Using Rev-A-Shelf In Our Kitchen

rev-a-shelf pull out basket
We started our #KitchenReno during the holidays, and so far the tiles are placed, the vent is fixed, the cupboards are transformed. We are working on painting, replacing the countertops and the faucet. Since things can be put away with all the major jobs done, I can organize the cupboards. I used Rev-A-Shelf cut-to-size insert wooden organizers to keep my cutlery, knife and utensils organized. These products are available in Home Hardware stores such as Lowes.

Win 1 of 3 Command Prize Packs before School Starts

command hook
Command 3M products are very handy around our home, as it helps us stay organized. I use their traditional hooks and mini hooks in many places around our home. I am starting to think of ways to organize and get everything ready before school starts in September. I like that Command Clear products help us clear up clutter, keep wires in order and make the most of small spaces. They are stylish, easy to use and do not damage the surface it is placed.
command hook
We don't need nails, screws and tacks when we use Command™ Clear products they make it fast and easy to hang and clear clutter. The revolutionary Command™ Clear Adhesive Strip holds strongly on a variety of surfaces, including paint, wood, tile and more. It removes cleanly without making holes, marks, or sticky residue.

The advantage of using Command™ Clear Strip allows us to seamlessly show our decor, without the hooks and clips being visible. Rehanging them is as easy as applying a replacement Command™ Clear Strip, so we can take down, move and reuse them again and again.

They have a variety of clear transparent Command™ products such as Medium hooks, mini hooks, decorating clips, flat cord clips, round cord clips and utensil hooks. I just wish the packaging it comes allows to store the clips back in it until we need to use it again, since all the packages need to be saved for instructions such as the surfaces it can be placed etc.

All Access Organizers Help Us See What We Store

rubbermaid organizers
When we have belongings that we don't use all the time, I find it easy to store them in containers and stack them up so it saves space. However, when we put these belongings in boxes that are not transparent it becomes difficult to access the content, or to remember and identify what is inside even if there are labels :)

There is a solution for this problem since the Rubbermaid All Access Organizers have a clear, drop down door on the front of the boxes that make it easy for us to see and take the items out without un-stacking the heavy containers. These space saving stackable containers would be ideal to organize our garages, closets, children's toys, craft rooms, offices, and more.

I have tried a few things to keep the toys looking less cluttered, and finally have found these containers to be helpful. These containers help my children to easily put and take their toys out. It has also helped me store clothing and craft items.

These containers are available in small, medium, large sizes at Walmart and Home Depot.

Giveaway:

Organizing our cable clutter with @bluelounge CableBox

Bluelounge CableBox is constructed using fire retardant plastic that keeps our cables, wires, surge protectors and power strips hidden inside a beautifully designed lidded box.  This design of the CableBox is a big relief to my family and I, as we don't like to see messy areas in our home.
As the box slogan says, it keeps our cables "out of sight, out of mind" that is exactly what it does.
We have decided that the best place for this CableBox in our home is by our entertainment center, where all the wires from the TV, DVD/ Blu-ray, Media PC, XBOX and other entertaining gadgets are protruding to make the whole area look untidy.  Putting all the wires inside and keeping them out of sight has made us feel "relieved".  This box has bought a more "finished look" to this area, which we recently renovated.
The CableBox comes with 10 twist ties so we can keep the cables sorted neatly inside the box.  The box measures 15"x 6" and the height is 5", which is big enough to fit the surge protector, power bar and all the other wires.
This sleek modern design of the CableBox is available in black and white, which will suit any decor.
The power surge and strips don't need to be unplugged so it stays safe inside the lidded box.  Having the lid protects the cables and power surge from getting dusty.
As a parent, I feel good that we are using this CableBox to keep our power surge and plugs inside the box, so it doesn't attract our little ones to put their fingers or unplug/plug the wires.
This CableBox would also be appreciated under desks, beside computers as well.  The rubber feet underneath prevent it from slipping so we can leave our connected devices over it.  This neat and tidy CableBox is a fabulous solution to have a clutter free, organized and modern look in the home, office or school.  It is available to purchase online and in all these stores around the world.

A Weekly Planner from my family to yours

My Family Weekly planner by Paper Tree Designs is very handy for us as I have stuck it on our fridge, so we can keep ourselves on our toes and not miss all the upcoming holiday fun :)
This weekly planner is helping me to prioritize and finish many things that I need to do before school closes for the winter break.  The tracking area on the side of the planner is helpful to quickly write reminders, notes, to-do lists and other handy things.  They also have a fine tipped whiteboard marker that works well with the whiteboard.

I know many parents, senior high school or college and university students will appreciate this thoughtful weekly planner.  We can use this planner as a weekly or daily organizer, chore chart, reward chart or even as a weekly menu organizer.

This reusable planner has a soft A3 size whiteboard with a  strong magnetic backing that will attach to any magnetic surface.  This planner is easy to clean and can be reused throughout the year for many years.

Giveaway:
I Family Weekly planner will be useful to many people so I am glad to host a worldwide international giveaway.  This giveaway ends on December 5th.

Command 3M hooks

3M command hook
I like using Command Traditional 3M hooks because there are easy to use and handy to organize many things around our home.

Having proper reliable tools help us to stay organized. With Command 3M hooks we can organize and decorate without damaging the walls. There are so many possibilities on how we can use these hooks. The hooks work on all types of surfaces i.e. painted surfaces, wood, tiles and more. I placed the Command Traditional hook behind the washroom door to hang towels, and like how strong the hooks are, as it can hold up to 5 pounds.

It is easy to use the Command Traditional medium hook to hang seasonal and holiday decorations i.e. novelty lights, streamers, balloons.  We can remove the hooks when we no longer need it, and save it for next time.  This medium hooks can hold up to 3 pounds.
3M command hook
The hooks can be easily removed without damaging the walls. The hooks don't leave holes or tacky oily residue that affects the paint. 3M's patented stretch release adhesive technology is strong, secure and damage free.

To remove, slide the hook up and pull the tab about 12" straight down and then release the base from the wall. The hooks come with two strips. When we no longer need the hook in the initial place we put, remove, clean the back with rubbing alcohol (don't use any other type of cleaners), dry the hook and attach the strip with the red adhesive liner to the hook and the black adhesive liner to the wall. Ones we put the hook on the surface, we have to press firmly for 30 seconds and then let it stay for an hour before hanging anything.
