Learning to Camp with Ontario Parks

learn to camp
Camping is a fun getaway to do with the family and take a break from life’s stress and pace. My family and I loved experiencing the fun Learn to Camp program hosted by Ontario Parks. We got to know about this program through a community information session that Ontario Parks hosted. We learned everything we need to know about camping without harming the environment. Camping with knowledge encourages us to do this recreational activity more often, and learn to relax in nature and appreciate it more.

There are almost 400,000 young people in Canada who are at risk of dropping out of high school. Education and graduation are not always hot topics at the dinner table. Research shows particularly in low-income neighbourhoods the high school dropout rate can be as high as 70 per cent.

Jerusalem IMAX and The Science of Rock ‘N’ Roll at The Ontario Science Centre

Jerusalem the 43-minute large format film narrated by Benedict Cumberbatch and presented by National Geographic Entertainment is a stunning and thought provoking presentation of one of the world’s iconic cities. Jerusalem is sacred to half the people on earth; fought over more than any other place in history; conquered and destroyed, rebuilt and reinvented repeatedly over 5,000 years. This film helps us discover why this tiny piece of land is sacred to three major religions through the stories of Jewish, Christian and Muslim families who call Jerusalem home.
