Empire theatres and Happy feet two

This image is from the official site.

Our experience at the Empire theatres was fabulous. The theatre at North York has parking that is validated. The elevator from the underground parking goes directly to the movie theatre, which is fabulous when it is cold. The manager and all the staff were courteous. The theatre has a pleasant, clean and casual environment. The washrooms are clean, which is very important with young children.

The theatre has 10 rooms that are large, with spacious seatings and bigger screens compared to other theatres. Based on this experience, I will visit Empire theatres again.

We watched Happy feet 2 and enjoyed this funny movie. We loved the different accents of the characters. The children loved some of the songs. I thought there was a lot of songs in the movie which can be reduced, and there could have been more dialogue.

Puss 'n' Boots or Le Chat botté

Movies are a fun way of learning. My children and we enjoy watching movies together.

I received a dvd copy of "The true story of Puss 'N boots" (2009) by Jérôme Deschamps and Pascal Hérold to review. We had some very different views :)

The story line was good, yes there was something to learn which was accomplishing your dreams no matter who you are.

Unfortunately the animation and voice of some of the characters were not pleasing. The music was annoyingly loud and unnecessary in certain points of the movie. This made the movie feel long and a waste of time.
The king's role in the movie was just to sleep and there wasn't any point. The queen was a little strange and I didn't like her much either.

The princess wasn't royal but she encouraged the boy to tell the truth about who he really was.
My children liked the parts when the princess was singing and dancing and the puss'n boots flying.

Overall, I like reading the story book about Puss'n boots better than "The true story of Puss 'N boots" movie. Looking forward to see Puss in boots by director Chris Miller in November 2011 by Paramount.

Going to the movies at Empire reel babies

I am excited to be part of the Empire reel babies blog tour. We are looking forward to go to the movies with the little one; and not worry if he will start to fuss because Empire reel babies is a place for like minded moms.

In the Empire reel babies program there are new release movies twice a month. It is a baby friendly environment, so no need for babysitters. The theatre is equipped with change table, bottle warmer, play mat and swing so while watching we can take care of the little one. The lights are dim and volume lower and the theatre would be a perfect outing for parents to enjoy with children and friends. Checkout their site for more information.

Promotions, coupons and free passes coming soon, so do follow createwithmom and don't miss these opportunities.
