The holiday season is around the corner, and this is the time of the year when we get passionate about our baking, and sharing the goodies with our loved ones. 

Shortbread is one of our favourite cookies. I enjoy making my own and involving my kids when I do this. Having a box full of homemade shortbread cookies during the holidays is a must in our home, so we can serve it to those who visit, as well as take to friends and family. 

Travelling via Emirates

This summer when we travelled to Sri Lanka we travelled by Emirates via Dubai. We travelled from Toronto to Dubai on the Airbus A380.  
Travelling via Emirates was fun because of the spacious seats. I like that we can put the seat hand resting part up and allow children to sleep flat. We enjoyed their ice entertainment that kept us busy during our long journey.

I am very happy about my personalized ornaments from Ornaments With Love. I ordered the Art and Craft projects ornament engraved with our site name and the upcoming year. We really like how colourful and beautiful this ornament looks. I am thinking of attaching a magnet on the back so I can stick it on the fridge and my magnetic board. Sri Lanka, an island in the Indian Ocean attracts five varieties of turtles. Turtles are pre-historic creatures that have been in the ocean for millions of years. However, due to human activities they are an endangered species. We visited a Turtle Hatchery and learned many interesting information. In the Turtle Hatchery, the turtle eggs are protected from poachers and predators.

We Got Creative With Kulapix and You Can Too With This Giveaway

Gifts with photos are wonderful to give our family and friends or use it ourself, as they are memorable. I enjoyed using the Kulapix site to create a variety of cool products with the pictures my family and I have taken. Although, photography is one our favourite hobbies I don't think we do justice to it, as we don't end up printing the pictures. Explore and Nurture With Libre

Since we have settled into our fall routines, we are hoping to take some time to explore and nurture our souls.  When the weather gets cooler and the evenings arrive early, I like to settle down and relax with a craft, knit, crotchet project or a book. During these times I like having a warm cup of tea or coffee beside me. Using the Libre glass helps my drink stay warm, so I can sip on it slowly without worrying about it getting cold.

I like how the author, Jane Bull shows how felt and cloth can be used to sew and knit a variety of fun, cute, wooly animals that children will enjoy playing with. There are many projects in this book I have bookmarked to try. We made this Fun Felt Owl from the book.

Crafts Made to Decorate The Table For Thanksgiving Weekend

I made these Thanksgiving themed crafts with my children, as part of a sponsored post for Collective Bias® using material I bought from Michaels Arts and Crafts Store and things found around our home. 

I encourage my children to be thankful everyday and remind them about those who are less fortunate than us. I also teach them to be thankful for the bounties and mercy of God for providing us with everything we need. We made a table centrepiece, place cards and napkin rings to decorate our table when we have guests during the long weekend.

Spring comes with many occasions to celebrate

Spring is here, with it comes lots of wonderful celebrations...  My daughter bloomed in spring, along side with hyacinths so we totally look forward to spring to celebrate her birthday.  

With upcoming celebrations such as Mother's day, Father's day, achievements like graduations, birthdays, and anniversaries I look for thoughtful things to give my loved ones.  My family and I have been able to rely on Hallmark cards and products to help us make our statements of love to each other.
