Win a copy of The Encyclopedia of Landscape Design

Encyclopedia of landscape design is an inspiring book that helps us to plan, build, and plant in our outdoor space. This book will be useful for anyone looking to do a total redesign or target a specific area of their garden. We like the fresh and achievable ideas in this guide, which will be useful for every gardener. The Encyclopedia of landscape design is produced by a team of award-winning horticultural experts.

The book explains the fundamentals of landscape, garden design, and planting techniques, so we can find a style that's right for us. We like that the book includes a variety of different designs that we can use to add personality to our garden. For example ideas for fences, stonework, seating, and more. There is a section on how we can build garden structures such as laying a path, patio, decking, putting up fence posts, making a pond and many more. Having the step-by-step pictures makes it easy for us to understand what is needed for these projects, and if we want to incorporate it into our design.
Encyclopedia of Plants and flowers is an illustrated guide gardeners will enjoy looking through. It has ideas for selecting plants, planning a greenhouse, and taking advantage of our garden based on sun and shade, and colours of different flowers. This book helps identify plants and flowers, as it has described 8,000 plants and has illustrations and description of each variety. The book includes an enlarged plant selector and a 5,000-entry illustrated plant catalog.
We enjoy Pocket Genius books, as it is awesome to take along when travelling and learning about valuable topics while on-the-go. Pocket Genius Earth gives us a better knowledge of Earth's geology and geography, as it examines oceans, mountains, deserts, clouds, and more. This book has more than 180 of Earth's features including volcanoes, rivers, and weather and answers questions we all are curious about such as the reason behind earthquake, climate change, and more.

We really enjoy these engaging, compact and economical format books that are ideal for both browsing and quick reference for use in school and at home. These books are pocket-size encyclopedias that are filled with facts on subjects ranging from animals to history, cars to dogs, and Earth to space and combines a child-friendly layout with engaging photography and bite-size chunks of text that encourages and informs.

  1. I live in Ontario, Canada, and over the years my garden grew and grew, but now I'm older and it has gotten too big for me to handle and I need to find a way to redesign things in a more manageable way that will still be attractive and enjoyable.
