Reading LEGO books and Building

lego ninjago
My children have been LEGO fans since they were little and enjoy all things LEGO from building with the bricks to reading books related to LEGO. Recently, my children were playing with and building using the LEGO Friends Pop Star TV Studio and LEGO Ninjago Ninja Bike Chase sets. We also got them a bigger Ninjago set so they can enjoy putting the pieces together.

Since it is summer break, they are happy they get a good portion of time to relax and build. I am a supporter of LEGO and encourage my children playing with LEGO as it benefits children's cognitive, physical, and creative development.

We are looking forward to attend the upcoming Lego Imagine tour. Check my previous post to see the time and date when this nation-wide tour will be in your town and buy your tickets.
dk readers
My LEGO fans enjoy reading DK readers and other DK books related to LEGO to learn about the stories behind the pieces they play with. There are over 250 titles of DK's leveled reading books that cover fiction and nonfiction narrative content on topics children enjoy such as Animals, Space, Dinosaurs, History, Earth, and LEGO. We like the new revised and updated readers with shiny, bright jackets that encourages young readers to take a look at these books and read. Each book is written and reviewed by literacy experts, and contains a glossary and index making them the perfect choice for helping develop strong reading habits for children ages 3-11.

The four levels in these DK readers are levelled by reading ability rather than age. The subject topics are revisited at different levels to help children develop their reading confidence, comprehension, and fluency.

  3. My children and now my grandchildren love Lego. I like the idea that books are geared for kids due to their love of Lego. This would help my grandson who is going into Grade 1 with his reading capability.
