Button Ornaments

Making these ornaments using a few materials has lots of benefits for children. This fun home décor ornament teaches children math skills like counting, sequencing, and patterning, as well as increases their fine motor and sensory skills. These easy to do handmade ornament project will look beautiful when it is hung around the home.
For this project you will need...
Pipe Cleaner one per ornament
Ribbon
Different size buttons and beads

Place the material in a bowl and let the children enjoy placing the buttons and beads in any pattern. It is easy for the pipe cleaner to go through the holes in the buttons and beads.
When there is about two inches stop placing the buttons and close up both the edges. We can twist the pipe cleaner to any shape like a circle or heart. Place the ribbon where the edges close up. We can tie the ribbon as a bow, so the ornament can be hung anywhere as décor.
