Win a set of Eyewitness Books

Eyewitness books are a wealth of knowledge. These books are must have in every library at home and in schools. My children enjoy looking through and learning from these fabulous books from DK. Eyewitness Human Body shows everything we need to know about the body from the smallest cell to the systems that keep us alive. It also has information about how, when and who started researching about different parts of the human body. These educational books gives details with images on how everything works.

We also enjoyed discovering the history of ancient civilizations such as Rome and Greece from the Eyewitness series. The books have details about how the people in these ancient civilization used to live, what they ate and discovered, and how they celebrated and enjoyed leisure time. We found it interesting to read about the beliefs and inventions that happened during these ancient civilization.

Did you know board games similar to snakes and ladders have been known for more than 2000 years in ancient Greece?

We enjoyed the colourful new addition to this series Eyewitness Amazon, which shares about all the amazing this in the Amazon rainforest such as the land, the birds, animals, and the civilizations. It also makes us aware of the problems that are happening in the Amazon caused by humans because of deforestation due to logging, growing soya and palm oil, and mining for gold and oil.
While going through the book, we saw the yellow poison arrow frog, green and black poison dart frogs, and the blue poison dark frog that we have seen in the tropical rainforest at the Ontario Science Center.
The Eyewitness books are trusted non-fiction series in classrooms, libraries and homes around the world for 25 years and have been published in 88 countries and in 36 languages.
DK also has other educational books such as their readers, and the books that teach math concepts. I really like DK Readers and find it useful because children can learn about subjects that interest them such as this Amazing Animal Journeys reader. This reader is about animals such as caribou, monarch butterflies, and gray whales that migrate, and how humans effect these migrations. These readers introduce children to new topics with attractive illustration and engaging age appropriate stories.
The math dictionary is a useful book to have. This is a quick reference guide to look over mathematical concepts and refer to for both children and adults.
