All-Star Academy on Food Network

Ten talented and successful home cooks from around United States compete in intense culinary challenges, as they are mentored by some of Food Network’s most popular chefs. The All-Star Academy hosted by Ted Allen is premiering Sunday, March 1st at 9pm ET/PT. The home cooks are competing for a $50,000 grand prize in. Each competitor with the guidance of their mentor, must compete over eight episodes in challenges that would propose difficulties for even professional chefs, while elevating their culinary skills to make it to the finish line.

March 1st at 9pm ET/PT "Choosing Teams"
The ten home cooks cook for a spot on a mentor’s team. Four of the biggest, most skilled chefs in the world, including Bobby Flay, Alex Guarnaschelli, Curtis Stone and Michael Symon, will each have two home cooks to guide through the competition. But only one mentor and home cook will emerge victorious in the end. Special guest judge Simon Majumdar will help decide which home cooks will have a chance to move on.

Sunday, March 8 th at 9pm ET/PT "Mentor’s Choice"
The eight remaining home cooks must reinvent famous food pairings to stay out of this weeks' elimination round. And these cooks won't want to disappoint, because they'll be judged by their toughest critic yet, Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian.

March 15th at 9pm ET/PT "Battle of the Mentors"
For the first time ever in Food Network history, best friends and mentors Bobby Flay and Michael Symon try to take each other’s teams down as all the mentors battle head-to-head to win a crucial advantage. Special guest judge Elizabeth Falkner helps get in on the action determining which home cook is sent home.

March 22nd at 9pm ET/PT "Frenemies"
Mentors join forces to achieve victory. Be prepared as Bobby, Alex, Curtis and Michael become two super-teams, to make the most spectacular three-course steak dinner with their home cooks. The losing team goes from friends to instant enemies as they cook off against each other in the elimination round, judged by Chopped judge Amanda Freitag and Chef John Li.

March 29th at 9pm ET/PT "Second Chances"
Five home cooks remain as the mentors battle head-to-head to bring back an eliminated contestant of their choice. These competitive mentors will be put to the test, using tough ingredients like eel and vinegar, to whip up a dish worthy of a second chance. When an eliminated contestant returns, it's time for the six home cooks to battle it out in front of special guest judge Donatella Arpaia, to see who goes home in the elimination round.

April 5th at 9pm ET/PT "The Blind Taste Test"
Food Network star Robert Irvine steps in to fill the mentors shoes, coaching and guiding the home cooks as they are challenged to cook with canned meats. The super-twist is that the mentors will be doing a blind taste test to determine which three of their home cooks need to compete for survival in the elimination round.

April 12th at 9pm ET/PT "Win and You’re In"
The four remaining home cooks bust go head-to-head in three of the toughest challenges yet. The winner of each round instantly moves into the finale. But the last cook standing goes home. Chopped guest judge Marc Murphy lends a helping hand in the penultimate episode.

April 19th at 9pm ET/PT "The Finale"
Three home cooks remain, with one last chance to win the grand prize of $50,000. The cooks must make it through three intense rounds of culinary challenges, all representing a day in the life of your typical home cook... breakfast, lunch and dinner. And for the first time ever, the contestants will get to cook side-by-side with their world-class mentor.
