Win a Copy of this Fabulous book "The Perfect Parent"

Being a parent is a blessing for both my husband and I. We did fear about how good we will be at “parenting” since our children didn't come with manuals :) Some of the situations we had to learn to deal with were, and are still challenging. I find as our children grow, and become independent the challenges too grow and how we deal with these become more important so we can keep having good relationships.

I don't usually read books on parenting, but for some reason I did check out this awesome book “The Perfect Parent” by Roma Khetarpal. I am glad I did because it has a wealth of knowledge that will change the perspective on things we face everyday, and gives us the five tools for using our inner perfection to connect with our children.

I like the humor, and the casual conversation writing style in this book, in which we can nod with agreement, laugh, or in some occasions feel sad, and ultimately think about our actions and help change it for better, for both ourselves and our children. When I was reading, I like how Roma gives lots of different ways we can deal with our emotions to help ourselves as well as our children. I agree with the author that when we understand our self, we can transform our family.

She uses emotional intelligence, and personal empowerment as an approach to connect with children. I like her suggestions that we can easily adapt in a daily basis, as mindful, conscious parenting practices are very important in today’s fast moving lifestyle, where we need to learn to speak kindly to ourselves and our children during the most challenging, common family situations. Building trust, making it second nature for our children to reach out to us and bond is important. After all, every parent wants to raise happy children who think positively and do good to others and themselves.
