Getting Creative with Crayola Model Magic

Model Magic is a wonderful lightweight, spongy, unique modelling material for children to shape fun figures, blend, or cover objects and decorate. It is much easier to use than clay, and the non-crumbling formula sticks to itself and not our fingers. The finished objects are left outside to air dry, depending on the size of the craft shape it can take overnight or up to 72 hours to dry.
I really like that we can store the non-toxic Model Magic in a tightly closed plastic storage bag in an airtight container and use it later. Both my children enjoyed making a variety of sculptures using the Model Magic that comes in the craft pack with six colours.
We can embellish our designs using Crayola markers, paints, and other decorative items. To make our own unique hues we can mix in colour from Crayola washable markers and knead to blend. The colourants do stain a little on the work surface, so work on a hard, flat, clean surface.

Model Magic is perfect for creative play, make handcrafted gifts, or to use it decoratively for school projects.
Blueberry basket my daughter made, and the below is a take on the basket my son made.
My daughter made this flower attached to a petal.
Before it dried my daughter made a space on the clay to put a necklace through and use it as a pendant.
My son's flower and petal.
Key and locks my son made. He mixed in a few different colours to get the below shade.
My daughter attached a key chain on this bear. We can also make small figures to make pencil toppers. There is so many creative possibilities for children to make with this Model Magic.
