Details on a Selection of Books from the Father's Day Boutique

Taking pictures either nature, still photography, or pictures to remember moments is a fun hobby for me, as photography helps me tell a story. Photography using all types of cameras has been a learning experience that I have enjoyed and continue to enjoy. To keep my excitement for capturing images unique, new and lively, I like checking out photography books.
Digital Photography Through the Year by Tom Ang is a book that teaches us what to shoot and not how to shoot, as it has creative ideas, camera tips, settings, extending techniques that will help us take a variety of pictures. There are projects for every month of the year and suggestions on how to approach our subjects to explore variations. There are also information on using our camera phone to get special effects and enhancing our pictures.

Every good photographer knows success in photography is measured by using what we have on what we see and produce the best we can. Pre-visualizing is key to good photography, and this book will help us with this process.

I like how the book is filled with evocative images and is divided into seasons. There are details on which settings to use, how to overcome potential challenges, dealing with tricky lighting situations, capturing and freezing movement, composing with colour, and more. Tom's informal style makes stunning photographic results achievable for both the casual camera phone user and the SLR expert.
Sports fans will enjoy this updated Sports Book with the latest statistics and world records. In the first part of the book, it is all about Olympic Games. The book has highlights, information and pictures starting from the ancient Olympic Games that happened in 500BCE in Olympia, Greece. The ancient Olympic Games were abolished when Rome conquered Greece in the 2nd century BCE.
In 1892, Frenchman Pierre de Coubertin campaigned to restart Olympic Games and in 1894 he got sympathetic votes in favour. Although, the games were initiated to be in Paris in 1900 in association with the World's Fair the first modern Olympic Games had its own event in Athens in 1896.
The book has information about Paralympics and the upcoming games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2016. When Brazil hosts the Olympics in 2016, it will be the first time a Portuguese speaking country getting a turn to host the Olympic Games.
