Benefit from DK Book Sales and Win Smithsonian Institution's Natural History Book

This month DK is having two fun boutiques Best for Baby and Earthly Pleasures in honour of Earth Day 2014, which will happen on April 22nd this year. The Baby Boutique has a selection of titles that will answer many questions parents have in topics such as pregnancy and birth, newborns to toddlers, baby health, nutrition, and more. The books are 30% off for a limited time and perfect to give as gifts for parents since we all know as exciting as it is having a baby, it can be overwhelming and we all need some advice on unfamiliar topics.
There are some wonderful books to help us create unique fun gifts that babies and parents will enjoy in the boutique. I have been checking out the Baby Knits Made Easy book, which has 50 projects for knitters such as bobble pom-pom hat, charming mittens, to a Fair Isle jumper, cuddly rabbit toy and more.
Beginners will like the techniques overview, as well as projects that can be whipped out in just a few hours, while experienced knitters will be inspired by the advanced patterns. Each craft has beautiful photographs for extra inspiration. This book is wonderful for those who want to make knits for boys, girls, babies, and toddlers. I am working on a headband pattern from the book, and will share it once I finish.
Over the past years, I have checked out most of the wonderful books that are now 30% off on the Earthly Pleasures Boutique, and know how valuable and benefiting these books are to have. The displayed books teach both adults and children about amazing things that surround us everyday and will help us learn how to conserve Earth's beauty for future generations. The books take in-depth look at trees, birds, minerals, animals, geographic locations and more that are educational and entertaining. The boutique also has many craft books that have lots of ideas for parents and educators to get our children involved.
Children who are learning to read will enjoy DK Readers that teaches them about earth, bugs, recycling, water, endangered animals and more, which will also allow them to relate to everyday affairs.
Geography: A Visual Encyclopedia created in conjunction with the Smithsonian Institution, explores every aspect of our world, from the North to the South Pole, and from the outer atmosphere to the fiery core and from natural processes to human impact. In this book we can discover information about terrifying earthquakes, priceless gemstones, and storms that can destroy buildings.
The facts, maps, explanations, illustrations, and photographs allows us to understand how weather works, what causes the seasons, and the power of water to shape the landscape. With this guidebook we will also be able to explore about life on Earth, countries and cultures from all around the world. The amazing photographs will quickly draw the readers and teach them many wonderful things about Earth and will inspire them to broaden their minds and research.

Eyewitness: Endangered Animals book comes with a poster and a clip art CD, which will be useful for children. This book takes a look at creatures around the world that are currently threatened with extinction, and has information on how we can help them survive. The book has an overview of biodiversity, the web of life, examines the threats facing a wide range of species, including polar bears, sea turtles, tree frogs, river dolphins, jaguars, pandas, gibbons, and the California condor.
This book Natural History by the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History presents a visual survey of Earth's natural history. Giving a clear overview of the classification of our natural world-over 6,000 species. Natural History looks at every kingdom of life, from bacteria, minerals, and rocks to fossils to plants and animals. Featuring a remarkable array of specially commissioned photographs. Natural History takes the reader on an incredible journey from the most fundamental building blocks of the world's landscapes, through the simplest of life forms, to plants, fungi, and animals. I am glad to be partnering with DK books to giveaway one of these awesome books to a reader in Canada.
